Long day in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I had a hangover this morning. I got over it thou. I took my lawn mower to the shop to get it ready to mow the lawn this season. It had a flat tire, needed the oil changed, a tune up and a new blade. I'll get it back in a week or so.

On the way to the lawn mower shop I got a call that the boss of my chapter of the motorcycle club was in a ambulance possibly having a heart attack. I got the lawnmower to the shop and started making phone calls. I came home and dropped the trailer and made my way to the hospital. C was already there. I stayed for awhile and visited. I took off and got my oil changed and my tires changed at pep boys. My tires had thread showing. They were in really bad shape.
I came back to the hospital and found out the boss did not have a heart attack. They are not really shure what is wrong with him. They sent him home and told him to take a rest for a few days. It was almost dark by then. We went to the waffle house afterwards and had supper. Now I am home wore out.

Drunk as cooter brown in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I am just holding it together enough to do this post. I am gloriously drunk. I polished off a big bottle of chardonnay. I have been stressing with my family today. Not C or K. My brothers and in laws. I don't want to talk about it much. I just needed to get drunk. I hope you out there can understand.

Well C is going to bed and I need to take a shower. I will catch y'all later.

Sleepin' in the swamp

Hey Y'all!
I have been sleeping the day away. I am still tired feeling, but I finally got a little rest.
I just got off the phone with my brother from Tennessee. He's doing good. C made a roast in the crock pot for supper and some mashed taters.

K went out with her boyfriend and picked out her engagement ring today.

I know this is a short post, but since I slept all day today, there's not a lot to tell.

I got to get a new phone tomorrow. I got mine wet this weekend and now it is doing crazy stuff.

Up late at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We had our poker run today. The weather was nasty so the turn out was low. We still had a good time thou. C and I worked a stop at the bike shop I use to take my bike to. It was good to visit with the owner and his wife.

C and I have decided that this Sunday is going to be a day to relax and rest. We don't have anything planned.

I am way tired. I keep falling asleep as I am typing this. It won't be long and I will crawl in my chair and go to sleep.

C made chicken and dumplings for supper tonight. It was really good.

Swamp sweet home

Hey Y'all,
We are back home now and totally wore slap out. It is good to get away but it shure feels good to get home. I don't know about C but I ache all over. It was a good time thou. I am missing my friends and family we visited already.

We picked up the trailer and brought it back in the rain. C drove it thru Atlanta traffic which is no easy accomplishment. We had rain most of the way back. Especially up around Atlanta.

We made it back and went to the local restaurant and had a good supper. Now we are home. I am relaxing. C is washing clothes and making a couple of gift baskets for our clubs run tomorrow.

Howdy from the mountains

Hey Y'all,
I am up this morning and C is sleeping. We saw her parents last night and went to a auction. I was feeling down in my back so I took some of my pain pills and muscle relaxers. The pain pills I don't mind. I hate taking the muscle relaxers. They make me so drowsy and feel like crap. I have to be hurting bad to take them.

Today we are going to another small town up here and pick up the utility trailer I bought off EBay. After that we are heading home.

Rainy weather and good times

Hey Y'all!!
C has gone to bed. I am going to update this and pack up the laptop, get a shower and go to bed myself.

C had her first doctors appointment today. She is now on insulin for her diabetes. They put her on it today. I am worried about her. I am on insulin and pills too. She is on pills for diabetes too. Our diets are not diabetic friendly. It is going to be tough for us. I want her to have a long life with few problems as possible. The way we are both going it is not heading in that direction.

Tomorrow, (Thursday) we go back to Atlanta for her next appointment. After that we are going up to Cleveland Ga, to visit her parents.

Good morning from the north Ga mountains

Ok I lied sorta when I said we were going to Atlanta. Actually we are staying in the north Ga mountains in proximity to Atlanta.

We are having a nice time. Tonight our friends treated us to a wonderful home cooked supper. Later on we got into the hot tub and relaxed. C has been enjoying spending time with her friend she hasn't seen in awhile. I have been enjoying visiting.

Today C has her doctors appointments at the V.A. in Atlanta. Her friend is going with her to the appointments.

Tired but content

Hey Y'all,
I am in the motel room after a long but good day. C is laying down watching T.V. about to fall asleep.

We got up this morning at my cousins house and had breakfast and visited. Then C and I Layed back down and took a nap. We got up a little late and took off for my aunts house. We got there and visited with my aunt for awhile. I have not seen her in awhile. She is very old and frail.

After we left my aunt's house we went and met C's oldest daughter at her house. We sat and visited and C helped her fold clothes. We left and found a motel room. That was a adventure in itself. After we got the room we sat and watched a movie and then headed back to J's house (C's oldest daughter). We picked her up and went out to longhorns steakhouse to treat ourselves to a good meal and let C and J catch up. We went to wall mart and J got a new shower head for her shower. We took her home and now here we are ending a wonderful day.

In the morning we will meet J and her boyfriend for breakfast. After that we will head to Atlanta to visit friends. C's doctor appointments are not till Wednesday and Thursday. We will have some good time just relaxing with our friends.

On the road

Hey Y'all,
We are at my cousin's house right now in Alabama. We are having a wonderful time. We went out to a Chinese buffet for super. We have been sitting around the house visiting, My cousin made us some homemade cookies. They were fresh out of the oven and yum yum.

Tomorrow we continue our trip and visit My Aunt in Columbus Ga. and then C's oldest daughter.

Thank God for my laptop and the ability to connect to the Internet from anywhere I have a signal.

ROAD TRIP!!!!

Hey Y'all,
C and I are taking off on a road trip starting Sunday and ending Friday. We are going to Alabama to visit my cousin. Then we are going to visit C's oldest daughter. After that we are heading to Atlanta to visit friends and so C can go to the V.A. for some doctors appointments. Later on in the week we are going up to Cleveland Ga where C's parents live and visit with them. Friday we will come home. I'll have my laptop with me so I will be able to post along the way.

Today we spent in Augusta Ga at Ft. Gordon. K had a JROTC drill competition there. It was a good time. Her school didn't win any trophy's or anything, but the kids had a good time. It felt good to go and support K and watch the kids. I enjoyed my time with C too. We are wore out from a long day. We still are having to get ready to go in the morning. C is washing clothes right now.

Back from The V.A.

Hey Y'all!!
I made it back from the V.A. and my colonoscopy. They removed five polyps from me. If the polyps test negative, I don't have to worry about getting another one done for 5 years.

We got home and hung out at the house for a Little bit today. After that we went to the local restaurant and had supper. I had a seafood platter and C had shrimp. Tonight we went to club church and afterwards went to applebees with some of the people with the club. It was a nice night. I had been feeling on edge like there was a chip on my shoulder because I hadn't took my meds the night before. I have a short temper when I am not taking them. Hanging out with my friends from the club and C and I enjoying their company made all the difference in the world. It kind of soothed the beast.

Work gave me a week off to recover even thou I don't need that much time. C and I are planning a little mini vacation. C was going up to Atlanta this week anyway and now I am going with her. It will be fun.

Another update from hell

Hey Y'all,
I feel bad. I mean really bad. I am stuck on the toilet, I feel weak, I have a thumping dull headache. I am thru drinking the stuff. I couldn't put the country time lemonade in the stuff. It says right on the jug to not add any flavors or ingredients. My legs are numb. The a/c is freezing me out. I am just miserable.

Update to today's post

Hey Y"all,
I feel like crap right now. The pills started working on the way home and I had to stop at a gas station. It hit me again when I got home and is still got me going. This is the easy part.

The visit to the dentist went well. I am going to have to go back in may for them to numb my gums and finish cleaning the tarter out underneath my gums. I already have some bone loss due to I haven't been taking care of my teeth. I didn't have any cavities thou.

I will update later again if I feel up to it.

Starting the day from hell in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I have not been to sleep last night. That is if you don't count the three times I fell asleep soaking in the tub.

Today I prepare for the colonoscopy. Let start by saying I like to eat. My 300 pound body size proves it. I can have nothing today but liquids. Nothing red or blue. I can have chicken broth and lemon jello. That's the closest I get to food till tomorrow after the procedure. I get to take some pills at 8 am and hope I don't crap my pants while I am at the dentist. I hate going to the dentist, but it needs to be done and today was the best day for it with taking off from work and all. When I come home if I feel up to it, I'll give a update. Tonight I get to drink this stuff that cleanses my bowels. In other words I am going to be stuck on the toilet for three hours or more. Last time I litterly could not get up off the toilet because of the stuff I was drinking.

Well That's what's going on with me.

What a wonderful swamp

Hey Y'all,
It's 0530 in the morning and I am up. Need to go to sleep. I stayed up to put myself back on the board after taking a trip that would put me over my hours of service if I took another trip too soon. There was a bad wreck on I-95 last night. It had traffic backed up for miles. The cops were detouring traffic. A big truck had overturned in the construction zone and had lost it's axles and fuel tanks we found out. On my way back thru in the other lanes it still hadn't been cleared up when I came thru there after dropping off my clients.

K made meatloaf last night so I had a meatloaf sandwich when I came in. I think I am going to have another one in a little while. Her meatloaf good.

C is still recovering from her trip. All that driving and sleeping in strange places wore her out.

I have to get thru today and then I am off for two days. It's no party thou. I get my teeth cleaned tomorrow morning. I haven't been to a dentist since I was in the navy. I do the preparation for a colonoscopy on Friday. If you have ever had one you will know the preparation is worse than the procedure. I ain't looking forward to it. I have some country time lemonade mix to add to that stuff I have to drink. That stuff tastes nasty. Last time I drank it I puked.
Maby the country time will make it drinkable.

Bummin' in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I didn't get the job. I called this afternoon and was told I wasn't selected but my application would be put on file. I'm bumming. I really wanted this job. I will keep looking and hoping something will come up.

C is on her way home. She is getting closer. Soon she will be here and that will make me happy. I've got one of those cheap frozen pizzas out of the oven and cooling on the stove. I am going to call that lunch.

Sunday morning greetings from the swamp

I got in from a run to Jacksonville Fl this morning and went right to bed. I never do that. The run was a bad run too. We were using one of the railroad employee's GPS to find where we were going. It ended us up in a dark alley in the hood. We finally found a gas station and asked directions. After we got to where we were supposed to be, the train wasn't there, it was in Baldwin Fl. I had to take the guys to Baldwin for them to get their train. I was tired and frustrated.

C is gone on a road trip with K and her boyfriend to see her oldest daughter. Then she is going to her parents house today in north Georgia. She is having a wonderful time. I miss her thou. I wish I could be with them.

I have only had about 3 hours of sleep tonight. The cats like to sleep in my lap while I am in my chair. This morning they got into a big fight and woke me up. The insides of my legs are all covered in scratches. They were really fighting each other hard. I am just glad I didn't get bit.

Well, I am going to go get a shower and then find me some breakfast.

Friday night at the swamp

Hey Y'all!
I got my running around done today and had the job interview. The interview went really well. I am hoping to hear something Monday. The interview lasted about a hour and 45 minutes. That is a good sign. I really hope I get this job. Keep me in your prayers.

We went out to the local restaurant tonight. The veggies were good but our steaks were terrible. We learned tonight that steak from there is not the best choice. We went to dollar general afterwards and did some shopping. Big time Friday night.

I go back on the board at midnight tonight. I need sleep but I have decided to stay up and wait to call in versus getting a nap.

Ahh a day off

Hey Y'all!
I got in a little while ago from a run to Waycross Ga. I am off for a day but I have a lot of things to do. One of them is a job interview. I am looking forward to it. I am up this morning because I am not sleepy. I will go and soak in a bath for a little while and get a shower afterwards when I get off here. Then I will try and go to bed.

I got the movie "Easyriders" in the mail today. I watched a short part of it today on my laptop. I am waiting for when C and I can set down and watch it on the PC. I haven't watched it in years. I found a copy on EBay for a great price so I bought it.

You want to hear what a pig I am? I ate one of those cheap frozen pizzas tonight when I came in. I have been craving one. C bought some pimento cheese for me today. She and K don't eat it. I have sat here and while typing this have ate almost the whole container! I looked down and it is almost gone!! ONK ONK!! I have been washing it all down with lemonade. I feel like I have swallowed a brick.

Swamp tales midweek

Hey Y'all,
They never did talk to me today at work about yesterday. I ended up taking the exact same run this morning, only it was already past time when it was given to me. I took it since I got in trouble for it yesterday.

I came home to problems with my laptop. After two chat sessions with techs at HP and finally a phone call with a guy from HP that was Indian, I got it fixed. After trying a few different things, It turned out to be static electricity turning off my wireless lan connection to my router. The guy told me how to discharge the static electricity on my laptop and now everything is working fine. I have to say the guy I talked to today even though he was in India was very easy to understand and he was good. I have had problems in the past using dell's India techs. HP must pay their techs better cause this guy was great and I could actually understand him. A very positive experience. I was unsure about getting a HP but the more I use my laptop and interact with HP, the more I am becoming sold on their product. We have a gateway also, It has given us no problems. I use to think dell was the bomb diggity, but now their products and service mainly is low on my list.

We had a family supper tonight with K and her boyfriend and her boyfriends brother at the local restaurant. It was nice. I enjoy spending time with my family. I don't know what I would do without them.

I am waiting on a run right now. I am number 6 on board. I have a job interview this Friday for a drivers position with the county. I hope I get this job . It's daytime hours, Monday thru Friday, And steady pay.

C got the a/c in her car working the other day. There was a small leak and the system needed to be recharged. Now she has a/c as the weather warms up. She really didn't need it over the winter so we have not done anything about it till now.

From the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I am in trouble again at work. I was called for a trip and didn't take it because I couldn't make it in time to the destination for pick up and I didn't know where I was going. My boss is mad. The assistant branch manager is supposed to be talking to me tomorrow. Who knows what's in store. I'll deal with it like I always do. I have become disillusioned with this job. A certain Johnny Paycheck song comes to mind. "Take this job and shove it". I am tempted.

C and I are doing O.K. She is going to spend tomorrow at the hospital with my friend who is in there and his wife. I have a good wife. There have been times when certain people have viewed her narrowly and I wish they had the chance to see how good she really is. I'm talking about friends of mine in the past and some employers she's had.

K went and had her nails done tonight with some of the child support money C got. She's doing better with her cold and ear infection.

Well Y'all, I guess that's about all for tonight. I am waiting to go out on a trip and am calling to see what number I am on board.

Felling rough in the swamp

I'm feeling pretty rough right now. C and I made it up to the VA Out of town. I saw the doctor and everything is going good for right now. We made it back this afternoon and I took a short nap. I was woke up to talk to the IRS about my dads estate. We had to get a tax ID number. I went out and got us some Chinese food. We just got thru eating and that has been my day so far. I go back on the board at midnight for work. I am going to try and get a little rest between now and then. I hope they don't call me till tomorrow.

I was on another run to Waycross Ga. When C called me. She was taking K to the emergency room. She has a ear infection that is very painful. I was stuck in stop and go traffic on I-95. There was construction and traffic was backed up far as the eye could see. I finally got in from my run, washed the van and closed my trip with dispatch. I met C and K at the hospital. C went to pick up K's medicine and I brought her home with me.

I have a V.A appointment this afternoon. It's at 1:30 pm. We were going to get up and go together to it since it is 3 hours away. After all that has happened tonight I don't know if C will make it or not. I have to go I have no choice. I just wish she was with me today.

Well Listen, she just pulled up. I need to get a shower and go to bed.

Yawn, Just got back from a run

Hey Y'all,
I just got back home from a run to Waycross Ga. I made it back and stopped by the bar and had half a sandwich, a diet coke, and a shot of jagermeister. Today I basically rested and waited on the call from work. I didn't see C all day which really sucked. She was gone to a drill competition out of town that K was a part of. She is sunburned really bad. She was out in the sun on this thing for K and didn't take any sunscreen. She is very fair skinned. I saw her while she is sleeping when I got home tonight and she is beet red.

I changed the clocks a little while ago. The one in the truck and on the microwave. C will have to change the one in her car.

I am going to get a shower soon and crawl in my chair and go to sleep.

Friday night at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Hope everyone is doing well. Right now C is at the hospital with a friend from the club who is sick.

Today wasn't too bad. We saw the judge and got everything in order with dad's will. It went amazingly fast. We have a good lawyer who is on top of things. It makes all the difference in the world.

K is still sick with a cold and her throat hurts real bad. Her voice is deep.

C is still looking for employment. Hasn't found anything yet. Times are tough.

Me? I'm doing alright. Don't do much good to complain. I have been really tired today because I stayed up all night last night and then got up this morning. I didn't even make it to club church because I needed to sleep. I need to go to sleep now, but I am wide awake. I'm kind of wanting to see C when she gets back.

Tired and done nothing in the swamp

I'm Tired and haven't really done anything today. We have been messing with computers all day. I am doing this post on my new laptop. Tonight we went to the auction. We came home early because C's mouth was hurting where she had the tooth pulled. C did go to town and picked up her new glasses. They look really good on her! I like the rimless pair the best.

Tonight I am number 4 on the board at work as of 10pm. I am hoping they don't call me because I go off the board at midnight. Tomorrow my brother S and I have to meet the lawyer to go to court for my dads will. I want to get a good nights sleep.

Quikie from the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We are doing fine. C had her tooth pulled the other day and is real sore. The dentist didn't leave her any instructions on what to do for aftercare. A friend told her to start rinsing her mouth with salt water. She is going to try that tonight before going to bed. One pair of her new glasses are in so she gets to pick them up tomorrow. No more superglue glasses. Everyday she puts on the pair she has now is like a wing and a prayer they don't fall apart.

K is sick with a cold and complaining about being hot and cold. She had the shivers at supper tonight. We went out to a restaurant that also does the concessions at the auction. C and K got steaks that were fresh from the grocery store and fresh cut today. I had a bite and the steak was outstanding! I had Bar B Q and some vegetables. Everything was great.

Well Y'all I am quickly moving up on the board at work so I need to get some sleep.

Early am post from swamp central

Hey Y'all,
I am up for awhile. I just fell asleep in the computer chair. My feet and legs are swollen. Today was a lazy day. I slept for 14 hours last night.

Today we went and bought K a keyboard and monitor to go with C's old computer. We are going to set it up in K's room so she has a computer for herself. It's a old computer. K likes to download a bunch of stuff and it keeps messing my computer up. We are going to have to take our pc to the computer fix it guys and have it cleaned up again.

I bought a laptop and accessories online tonight. I am waiting for it all to come in. I have been wanting a laptop for awhile now. I can have my own computer that other people hopefully won't mess up like this one. We ordered a wireless router so we can run K's computer and my laptop off it. It will be nice to access the Internet whenever I want to instead of waiting for someone to get off this computer so I can get on.

Does anyone know about how to get the service for a laptop where I could access the Internet anywhere? Who has the best deal and how much it generally cost? How does it work. I want to explore it and see if it is worth it to me. I don't want something that is going to cost me outrageous if I am on my laptop on the Internet for awhile. I just want something I can take with me if I go to the doctors office, or out on the motorcycle, or in a motel room. I Hope Somebody can give me some good advice or point me in a direction to look.
