wacky weekend

Hey Y'all,
Club church was friday night saturday night was back at the bar for work. C was down here.

Saturday night at the bar was tense. This ol gal was there that is on the outs with her ol'man. The guy she is foolin' around with was there. Her ol' man shows up and a little trouble started. Pretty soon there were friends on both sides of the conflict there and one side of the bar was ganged up with the ol'mans friends and the other side of the bar was ganged up with the ol'boy who was doin' the foolin around with's friends. It was this thing where they were trying to make it look like nothing was going on except some idle threats and a small confrontation here and there. We were ready for the deal to go down and have a bar brawl. It took a lot of interaction from the other bouncer and me and one of the bartenders to keep things from getting too outta hand. The law showed up in the parking lot for awhile. Don't know who called them. We finnaly got everybody outta there safe without too much trouble.

Sunday C and K had supper with me at the bar and took off for home. They got up the interstate aways and run over something in the road. It happened to be on the one tire she hadn't relapced a couple of weeks before and the tire seperated and blew out. There was a big gash in the sidewall where whatever it was punctured the tire. There was about a 8 inch piece of the tread that blew off. I left work and got there to where she was broke down just before dark. My jack wouldn't work and hers is missing. I swear she has the worst luck I have seen in anyone in awhile. I called tripleAAA and they sent a wrecker out to change the tire. Her spare had a bunnion on it and didn't look like it would make her back home, so she called her boss and got part of today off. We took her car back here and got a room. We took it into pep boys where she had got her other three tires and got her two more new tires. One to replace the one that blew out and a one to replace her spare.

My baby and K got on the road safely and made it home safe. She is lucky the tire blew out on the back. I would not want her to wreck or be stuck on the side of the road in the dark too far away from me to help her.

Howdy

Well Folks another week has passed.
This past weekend C and her daughter K came down. Due to the way things worked out with my schedule and things going on it was a exausting weekend. K had a good time visiting with one of my friends kids. She has become quite attached to them and they to her. It's a good thing cause it is important to me and her mother that she find a place to kind of fit in down here.

I have had three days off and after I got thru with my chores here at home I just kind of took today and did nothing but relax. Spent most of the day surfing the net. Tommorow night will be back to work at the bar and ready for another weekend. I am not shure if C and K are going to come down this weekend or not. I may be going up there on my days off next go round. We'll just have to see.

I have got to spend some time hanging out with dad which has been a good thing. For awhile there I wasn't seeing him much at all because I was always gone. Dads not getting any younger and it's important that I get to spend time with him.

I still read everybodys blogs when I can. Grey biker http://southerntwilight.com/blog/ was talking about going thru all of his dads stuff and the memories attached to some of those things. I imagine the day I will be doing the same thing. I am not looking forwards to those days. When my dad is gone it will be a major part of my life ripped away. The cycle of life comes and it goes. Something none of us can escape. I have heard it said that no one is compleatly dead until they are forgotten. Every day I pass by the graveyard where my mother is buried I always say a short prayer that God would bless her on the other side.

Well so much about things that have a dark shadow about them. I am not depressed tonight, just kind of kicked back. Listening to bluegrass internet radio. I can remember the days when I would add "and toking a numb-er" to that list, but those days are past me now. Whiskey is too strong for me, so I stick to diet mountain dew, or juicy juice. Here's to you "J" don't worry about the bumps in the road. Life is a journey and a classroom. Learn it's lessons well, they get harder if ya don't. (you know who you are)

Y'all have a good week now, Ya hear?

Just in from a evenings ride

Hey Y'all
I just rolled in from a ride to the bar I work at. It's about a hour from my house to there. we had a meeting tonight. I'ts my night off so I made the best of it and took the bike. I haven't been riding in a long time. It has just been more convienient to take the truck because of the heat or rain or I need to bring something bulky or I haven't felt like riding. I know it's alot of excuses. I did enjoy my ride tonight. It kind of cleaned the cobwebs out a little.

The last time I had off I took off to go see C. I enjoy going up there to see her. This weekend she and her daughter K came down and visited me. K stayed with a friend of mine who has kids and C stayed with me at my brothers house. C hung with me thru the long hours at the bar and the next day with little sleep so we could get together with my dad for lunch. K and my brother were there too. I am fortunate to have a girl like her in my life. People tell me that all the time like I don't realize it or something. I do realize it and I am thankfull to God for bringing her into my life.

I am still alive and kickin' My hours at the bar and other things going on in my life seem to take up most of my time. I am still active with the club as much as I can be. Being back in the bar scene is O.K. I guess. Every bar has it's own personality and I like the one I am working in now. So far I have been lucky cause when all the bull shit or fights have been going on it always seems to be on my night off.

Well, Listen. Take it easy, keep the rubber side down and I'll catch ya on the flip side!

Hello There!

Howdy Y'all!
It's after 0330 in the morning as I type this. I just rolled in from working at the bar a few minutes ago. Tonight was a slow night for a friday. We didn't have a band and the weather was kinda yucky today. I saw more than one biker getting drenced while I was on the way to work this afternoon.

I wish somehow I could teleport you all to the bar for a visit. This place is respectable to some and full of nothing but riff-raff to others. It all depends on your perspective. It's a country juke joint way out in the sticks. It is upscale because it is on a paved road. There is no chicken wire around the stage. There are good folks and bad folks that visit there just like any other bar. But this bar happens to be in Georgia and what is georgia famous for? Rednecks. Thats what ya call them if ya ain't one. "Good ol' boys" Thats what ya call them if ya are one. Add alchohol and sometimes it can be quite a show. This bar ain't one that is all prim and proper. Ya never know what ya might see or hear. Women have been known to expose themselves a various levels of intoxication. If a man exposes himself at any level of intoxication he's out the door. Funny how that works. There are kids in there that have just turned 21 and elderly people that come thru the door for a beer and to dance. There is alot of good folks in there. It's biker friendly and on any given evening ya might see a patchholder from any of the clubs in our area stopping by for a beer and to relax. There are a lot of independents who come by there because it is where the monthly ABATE meetings are held.

Well, I need to hit the shower and go to bed. Hope everyones weekend is a great one.
Be safe out there!

It's been awhile

Hey Y'all!
No this blog is not completly dead. There has been alot going on with me behind the scenes.
First I will start a regular schedule with the bar working thursday thru sunday nights. Up till now it was as needed and whenever I could show up. There has been a major event going on with my chapter of the motorcycle club that my free and availble time has revolved around.

My chapter of the club hosted representives and guests from all over the united states for a meeting. Imagine more than 700 bikers showing up on your front door step and all the logisticts involved with that. I am still not shure of the exact number, but it was alot of people. Us as a chapter have been working our asses off for awhile now and when it all happened this weekend it was even more work. But it was a sucess.

C was right there with me the whole time helping out, running her ass off and doing what she could to make things easier for us all. Not to mention helping me keep my sanity when the day was done. She really is a good girl. Originally I tried to discourage her from comming down while all this was going on, but we talked about it and even if she would have not got to see much of me, she wanted to work and do her part. She was a big asset and helped me solve alot of problems by making herself available to run and go and do things in my cage that others could not. I am shure glad she was there.
