Friday's frolicing

Hey Y'all,
Today or yesterday now, We went to a retirement party for a friend who got out of the Navy. He did his time as a medical corpsman mostly with the Marines. He is a great guy and I am glad to see him moving on to civilian life. I know his wife is happy too!

After the party C and I went looking around a bunch of different stores for a expanding watch band that would fit my watch. We finally found one at walmart.

I am up late this morning because I can't seem to sleep. I tried laying down but woke right up. C can't seem to sleep either.

Well take it easy!

It's been awhile

Hey Y'all,

I didn't realize how long it's been since I have posted. I have been kinda depressed. I am going thru a medication change and just haven't been myself like normal. Whatever normal is. LOL

We went and visited friends over in South Carolina today. It was a nice time. I got a nap in while C was visiting and this evening we went to IHOP and had a supper.

We are home now and taking it easy. I am tired and weary. I seem to stay that way these days.

Well, I'm gonna get off here,

Post toasties

Hey Y'all,

I didn't post last night because I was tired. We had our annual party with the motorcycle club this Saturday. C and I only stayed till about dark and then came home. We went out and got a bite to eat. Came on home and shut ourselves in for the night.

Both of us were extremely tired today. C hasn't been feeling good. I hope she doesn't have a bug. I am doing OK. I hope I don't get sick too. I got out a couple of times but mostly we have just stayed a round the house being lazy bones.

Y'all take it easy!!

Post

Hey Y'all,
I got food poisoning last night from our local restaurant. I was sitting on the toilet with a trash can in my hand filling them both up shaking and sweating. My guts felt like somebody hit me with a baseball bat. I slept most of the day away today. I still feel weak. We met some friends at a Chinese buffet. I ate my fill and so far am doing good. Just exhausted as hell.

Just wanted to check in and say howdy!! I am OK now.

Y'all take care!!

Back safe at home.

Hey Y'all,

We made it home safe Sunday evening just before dark. I was tired out so I didn't post. We really enjoyed our time there. It was nice to get away. There were other reasons we were there and that was C's mom. The physical rehab they have her in is a very nice place. A friend of ours works for the nursing home part of it. We were pleased with what we saw.

I was tired today. I slept till after 1430 this afternoon. I went to bed around 0100 the night before. I guess everything finally caught up with me. I didn't get out but once today. That was this night to go to the grocery store.

Well Take it easy!!

Tired

Hey Y'all,
I am dead dog tired, but I wanted to post and let everybody know I am doing fine and things are going well. I am yawning as I type this and sleep isn't far away.

We went to see C's mom today. She is layed up, but in good spirits it seems. The rehab center she is in, is nice. We went to supper with some friends this evening and then again to the huddle house after the auction. We enjoy spending time with our friends.

Well C has already gone to sleep. I have to before I fall asleep typing this!

Y'all take it easy!

Safe in Helen Ga, the German town

Hey Y'all,
We made it safe to North Ga this afternoon. We ran out of the rain before we got to Atlanta. The trip the rest of the way up here wasn't too bad. We got the grand baby dropped off with his mom.

We came to the room and dropped off our bags and went to the auction. It was good to see everybody.

Now we are relaxing at the room and enjoying each others company. We are both worn out from this week of having the grand baby home and the trip up here. It's nice to just finally relax.

Well, Y'all Take It Easy!!

Counting down the days

Hey Y'all,

We took the grand baby for a week while J looks for a job and C's mom is in the hospital.
I will be glad when he goes back. I love my grand son, but I am not the baby kind. There is a reason I never had small kids. C's youngest was in her teens when we met. I have never had to deal with small kids. C is good and doesn't put much of the responsibility of taking care of our grandson on me. I don't know how to get him to stop crying. I can feed him a bottle as long as he wants to take it. If he doesn't want it, I don't know what to do. He has started teething right now too.

I will be glad to take him back on Thursday and visit up in North East Ga. for a few days. We have to check on C's mom too. She is in a nursing home to get rehab for her broken leg. I am looking forwards to peace and quiet!!! I am counting down the days!!!

Take Care!!

Time for a post

Hey Y'all!

C's mom had her surgery. They were able to fix the break with a rod instead of the plates and screws. She went loopy after the surgery and ripped her IV out and was combative and disorientated. It gave C and I a scare. She came out of it and is doing better mentally. I have been told it is common in old folks after a surgery like that for them to get delusional and disorientated. The reason it scared C and I was because that is what happened to my dad before he died. He went nuts and never came back. Thank God C's mom is doing better.

In other news. I am officially retired as a member of the motorcycle club I am in. I still get to keep my colors, but now I wear a retired patch along with my other patches. I still plan to be active in the club. I have sold my motorcycle. The doctors say it is no longer safe for me to ride.

The weather is starting to get a little warmer here.I wish it would warm up. Maybe then we would get a little more action on selling this house. I am so wanting to move up to North Ga. There is a lot of people We will miss down here if we move up there.

Well, Y'all Take Care!!

Back home to the swamp

Hey Y'all,

We are back home now. C's mom may have her surgery in the morning if her blood work comes back OK. We just couldn't afford to stay up there anymore. We will go back in a week or so and check on her then. She will have to go into physical rehab for a couple of weeks.

C and I are both wore slap out. It's been a long last few days.

Well Take Care!

Going home in the morning

Hey Y'all,

It's been snowing to beat the band during the daylight hours Tuesday. It has stopped now and the temp is dropping. The snow didn't mess up the roads today because it did not drop below freezing during the day. That means as the temp drops tonight the roads will freeze up.

We are going to leave about noon and go to the hospital and see my maw in law. After that we will head home. Hopefully the roads will be OK by then. We would stay until My Maw in law has her surgery, but we just can't afford to. We will come back in a week or so and see how things are going then.

C's mom has to wait till her blood thinner gets out of her system before she can have surgery on her leg. They are hoping Thursday afternoon her blood will be OK to do the surgery. If not they may have to wait a day or two longer. Her femur broke just above the knee. She has had a total knee replacement before. Depending on the type of knee they used for a replacement will determine the type of operation she gets. If the type of knee they replaced is one with just a little bit of metal, They will repair her break with a rod. If not they will have to use plates. It would be better to repair it with a rod. As of this afternoon they had not determined what type of replacement she had done and were calling for records to find out.

For now, take care!

Keep in prayers

Hey Y'all,

We are up in North Ga to go to a couple of appointments for C at the VA. While we we are up here last night C's mom fell in the bathroom and broke her femur in her right leg. The biggest bone in your body. She is in the hospital and will be having surgery soon. We are going to have to stay up here a day or two to make sure everything goes OK.

This is all fresh and new. We don't know if her mom is going to end up in the nursing home, or just what. We can't stay up here for ever. We want to help out as much as we can. C and I both are having a tough time with it physically. We are tired and sore as ever. I can barely walk and it hurts to lay down in bed. That's why I am up typing this now. I was exhausted and layed down and slept for about 3 hours. After that the soreness forced me out of bed. We will be OK thou.

Well Y'all Take Care!!
