Another Sunday

Hey Y'all,
We didn't make it to church this morning. I was up late Saturday night into the wee hours of the morning. I didn't feel like dealing with P the grandson at church. The church we go to is a small church with no nursery. We have to keep P in the seats with us. It is very frustrating on a good day, not to mention one with only 3 or 4 hours of sleep.

We Just kinda took it easy. I got out and went to Wal mart and picked up stuff to make hamburgers on the grill. We had hamburgers and hot dogs for supper tonight.

C watched the 83rd academy awards and saw who all got a Oscars this year. I watched part of the end of it with her. I mostly stayed in here on the computer. I got to chat with my oldest brother. Keep him in your prayers.

We got a big bag of baking taters at the auction this week. I baked one in the oven tonight. It was really good. I made it with butter and salt and pepper and sour cream. I know it's not the best thing for me like the sweet taters. But it sure was a good Irish tater.

Up Late, Listenin to bluegrass

Hey Y'all,
Me and C have been fighting today. I guess you have those days when your married. Every day can't be perfect. We seemed to be alright by time for her to go to bed. We don't fight that much, so I guess I should consider myself blessed.

I slept most of the day away. (that was some of what we were fighting about) I have been depressed and stuck in a rut. I want to go to work to have something to look forwards to and to get out of the house. I just don't know what I can do or who would hire me now. I haven't worked in several years. I don't know how I would explain that. Physically My back won't allow me to do much and all I am qualified for is labor work. I'm so-so smart and bonified insane. I spend a lot of time going to the doctors. I have already lost one job back home because of that. As a matter of fact that was the last job I had.

Howdy!

Hey Y'all,
Hope you are doing well. Me I'm fine. Just having to watch it financially. We can't spend any money till the end of the month unless it is change out of the change jar. Things are that tight. It's OK because were gonna make it some how.

Not a lot has been happening this week. Yesterday we had C's parents over for hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. They seemed to enjoy it and we enjoyed having them over. I think it does them good to get out of the house once in awhile. J took P the Grand today for the afternoon. It afforded us some time to do a little clean up around the house. It is impossible to do just about anything with him around. He is a handful and keeps us busy, especially C.

Well I hope everyone is doing well!

Sunday

Hey Y'all,
Made it to church today. It was a good service about loving your neighbor. Afterwards they always have refreshments. We don't usually stay for them, but today we did. It was quite nice. I got to meet a guy who was in the navy during ww2. He had some neat stories to tell.

We went by McDonald's and I got a couple of cheese burgers. Tonight we had bacon and eggs for supper. It was pretty good. I fried me some more eggs just a little while ago for my late night eats.

We are doing good, although strapped for cash. We figured out where we are for the month and it was a little less than we thought. Oh well, we'll make it thru.

Spring is here!

Hey Y'all!
Spring has sprung around here. days in the 70's, night's in the 40's. It's great. I wish I had a bike again so C and I could go riding. We went to home depot today to buy a trash can. Driving there was so nice with the weather the way it is. We saw a lot of bikes on the road. I really miss riding my bike every now and then. My days of riding a motorcycle are over though.

Got to talk to my brother and sister in law on the phone tonight. It was good chatting with them. I miss home and the people there.

Well Take Care!

Lazy Sunday

Hey Y'all,
The weather was very nice today in the 50's. I got outside once to go to Wal mart. I will be glad when spring gets here and I can get some relief on my power bill. So far every month this winter the actual bill has been over 400 bucks per month. Something has to be wrong somewheres.

We had tacos for supper tonight. Cheap N easy. There really isn't much to tell. C's dad went to the hospital tonight to find out why he has been feeling bad for the last week or so. It came back that his thyroid was out of whack. They are working with him to get it fixed.

Tomorrow is Valentines day. P's mommy is going to take him for awhile so C and I can go spend some time together. I am looking forwards to it.

warmer days / cold nights

Hey Y'all,
Not much to write about tonight. I'm doing pretty good, C and P are doing pretty good. P the grand knocked a tooth out the other day on the coffee table. Being only one, he still has his baby teeth. But still it is bad. Outside of a virus P and I had the other day, we all have been doing well.

I am tired but C committed us to let one of her family members come over and do a Kirby vacuum cleaner demonstration tonight. I ain't exactly thrilled in case you can't tell. I guess the dumb schmuck needs the practice. I ain't buying a vacuum cleaner.

Super Bowl Sunday

Hey Y'all,
I made it out of the house today a couple of times. Both times to Wal mart. We had spaghetti for supper tonight and I had to pick up some stuff. Later on I picked up some stuff for the game.

I don't like to watch football. Could care less about it. I do have to admit there are some good commercials that come on during the super bowl. C is the big game watcher. She doesn't watch football any other time of the year, but she does like to watch the super bowl. I was going to watch it tonight, but I find myself bored with it, so here I sit on the computer.

Well, Take it easy!

Note later in the evening: I decided to sit in there with C and watch the game. I actually ended up enjoying it. The commercials didn't end up wowing me. but I enjoyed the game.
