Posting after christmas from C's house

Hey Y'all!!
I am posting this from C's house, relaxing in my new jammies smoking cigaretts and watching the kennedy center honers.

O.K. Here is the skinny on my gift for C. It is a promise ring and she LOVED it!!! It is actually a bridal set but for me and her it is a promise ring. Neither of us are ready for marrage or to be engaged. She says I have very good taste in rings, and we both agree that the promise rings we had seen were kind of cheesy looking. I wanted to honer her and hopefully we will be together for a long time to come. One day we could get married, but that may be a few years off. We love each other very much.

We had dinner at her folks. Her dad gave me a ring!! It is sterling and has the harley bar and shield on it with grape leaves. It is really big and fits perfect. I love it!! C got me what I asked for. some shirts and some jammies to lounge around the house in. She also got me a zippo with "cornbread and cabbage" engraved on it. Where I work at they call her cabbage. I am going to keep that zippo special and not use it so it doesn't get scratched up.

This christmas has been special and my first with C. I look forwards to many more to come.

C when you read this, Know I love you!!

To all my friends out here in the blogshere, May you have peace and happiness in the new year!!

God Bless,
Cornbread

Feeling Better

Hey Y'all!

I am slowly getting over this cold/flu bug. I am finding out it has been going around pretty heavy and alot of people I know have had it in some form or other.

Christmas is only 20 days away and I am ready for ir to get here!! On my next days off I will drive up to see C and then on Christmas day I will drive up there to see her again. I already have her present picked out for her. It's really nice and a surprise to the people who know about it that I am giving it too her. I have even caught a little flak about it. LOL I know she reads here so I ain't gonna let it escape what I have for her. All I know Is I can't wait to give it to her. I feel like a little kid who has the perfect gift picked out for his sweety and can't wait to give it to her. I'll tell ya all about it here after christmas and if she likes it or not.

The temps are dropping here where I live. It was 27 last night and it's supposed to go to 32 tonight. My brother rode out on his bike today and we covered up the vents on the house here so the house will stay warmer and the heat pump won't have to run as much. I am hoping that when I go to see C for Chistmas that it snows up there. Maby it will since she lives north of me. A white Christmas and being with the one I love would make things perfect. I wish I could wake up with her Christmas morning, but I have to work the bar christmas eve till midnite. It would be hard to stay awake to drive up there after working all night.

I hope everyones holliday season is a bright one. For so many people it is hard to be happy during the holidays. I wish I could shine a little cheer into everyones holiday.

Sick Puppy

Hey Y'all!!
I am sick with the cold/flu/diarhea nasty bug. It had been coming on me for a few days but really hit me hard this weekend. C was down. I couldn't make it to work saturday night or tonight. In the morning I have a apointment with the V.A. that is out of town. I have not been this sick in a long time but having C around this weekend shure did help me out alot. If we had to go someplace like to eat or to the pharmacy to pick up medicine she did the driving in my 4X4. That is not always a easy task, but she did it like a pro. Having her around to "mother" me and tuck me in and feel my forehead to see if my fever had come back shure made me feel better, Rather than just too have to suffer this alone. She is great company as she always is. I wish she could have stayed this week, but her work beckons.

Well Thats what is happening with me. being sick and trying to figure out with my family our christmas plans. Hope y'all are all blessed as you gear up for Christmas and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!!
