Bad news wednesday

Hey Y'all,
I have bad news today. Dad has lost his sight in his left eye. It went away this morning. We got him to the eye doctor and found out he has a blockage in the main artery to his retna. The eye doctor stuck a needle in his eye to relieve some of the pressure and tried to massage the blockage out, but could not. We are massaging his eye every hour for tonight. The eye doctor said that most people who have this problem never recover.

Me and "C" have been doing some talking about my aperance. Not that it is bad or anything, but I have had for a few years now a goatee that flowed down onto my chest. She mentioned that She would like it if it was shorter. When we get kissy, my goatee would always end up in my mouth, which shall we say is not exactly desirable. I had a apointment with the hair dresser today and it was about the same time C goes to lunch. She always calls me at lunch, so I put her on the phone with my hair dresser and she told her what she wanted. I now have a goatee that is about as long as the hair on my head. (I have short hair) I sent C a pic and she likes it!! I am gonna see her this weekend and see if she likes it even better in person.

Hey Y'all!
Took dad to the hospital today to get a colonoscopy done. He fell into the wheel chair when we were going into the hospital and got a skined place on his arm. His speach was slured and he was weaker than normal so the doctors were concerned and wanted to rule out the posibility of a stroke before they sedated him for the colonoscopy. He had to get a CT scan done and was checked out. They said he was good to go and nothing was wrong with him except for being tired from not getting sleep and lack of regular meals the last couple of days while he was getting ready for the colonoscopy.

He had the coloroscopy and found a couple of small pollips but nothing major. When he got thru with the procedure and was getting ready to go he was still high as a kite from being sedated and he wanted a WHOPPER!!!! So yep we rode thru the burger king drive thru and I got him a whopper with cheese and some fries. He devoured his fries on the way home. We got home and he ate his burger and my fries too. (I didn't mind)

It was a all day affair at the hospital. we got ther a six in the morning and din't make it home till after 2 in the after noon. I have been going for the last few days and last night I only got about 2 and 1/2 hours sleep and dad had about the same. I have been falling asleep all over the place when I sit down. I have been exausted.

When I have been awake I have been talking with "C" on the phone. It's O.K. I am keeping track of my cell phone bill. I really want things for us to go well for us and they are. My desire to be with her is so strong and my mind and heart are captive. I don't believe things happen in life for no reason and call it fate or however you feel comfortable explaining it, all I know is I shure am glad it's happening.

I bet you have all been wondering where I have been. I've got a story to tell you.
Friday was my birthday. Friday we had church. Friday I had one of the best things happen to me ever.

There is a lady I have been chatting with over the phone every night, day, and online. I met her online, but she lives outta town from me. We have been hitting it off real well over the phone. Mama has got to know her and unknown to me they have been doin a lot of talking over the phone. After we had church friday night I got my present for my birtday. I had to close my eye's and choose between door number one or door number two. I chose door number two. When I opened my eyes, the lady (I'll call her "C") was standing there smiling at me. I hugged her and gave her a kiss and when I stood back, out of door number one came a pie right in the face!
We were having too much fun. It is tradition to get pied on your birthday around here. I didn't expect it twice.

C spent the whole weekend with me and my brother bought us a motel room for one night that was kinda expensive. Saturday and sunday night we stayed in another motel and went out alot.
I must say for someone who has not been around the biker community much, she did realy well. Friday night she went with us to all the club houses and to the strip club. We were out till all hours of the morning. Sunday she did a run with the club.

C rode the bike this whole weekend with me. She is very afectionate and has a great sense of humor. After we have met I am really impressed with her personality even more so than I already was. I feel really comfortable with her and we seem to flow together quite well. I could see myself falling for her, If I haven't already. The biggest thing we have to overcome is the distance between where she and I live.
These are special times for Cornbread. I don't believe that things happen in life for no reason. As I type this, My heart feels full.

Tuesday

Hey Y'all!
Today I took it easy and caught up on rest. I know that will probably change tommorow. Wednesday has been the day I start getting revved up since I have been on this extended vacation from life. I know I won't get much sleep thru this weekend. One day I will have to get back to a "normal" life. whatever that is, but for now I am doin' my thang.

I shure am ready to get back to work in some ways to have money comming in. Why do I want money comming in besides the obvious reasons? So I can get to work getting my ink I have been planning on. I am so looking forwards to it. Getting ink is so addicting. Once ya get one tattoo, ya want another one.

I will know for shure on the job situation on june 2nd just what the deal is. This has been a wild ride but soon It should come to a end and I go back to work. When it's all supposed to happen it will just "click". Then it will be off to another adventure in life.

Hey Y'all!
O.K. let me start out by saying I did something stoopid. I clicked on a link in a email that was suspicious looking because it was sent on behalf of someone I trusted. Somehow the forces that be seen to it that I would be talking to my blog buddy Phoenix http://his-phoenix.blogspot.com/ When I told her what I was doing she says "dude you shoulden't have clicked on that, it's a virus" She set me up with a virus scan and shure enough I had opened a vuneralbility in my system that was not detected. It took me all afternoon to correct it but I got it fixed.

Today was a lazy day for me. except getting my computer strait I haven't done much. Me and dad went to my brothers house and ate Ribs. They all chatted after dinner and I napped in my chair with my belly full. I did get up ocaisonally and smoke a cigarette and made a phone call to a friend.

Not a bad day at all.

Running like a wore out pair of joggin' shoes

Hey Y'all
I have been on the go so much since about wednesday with little sleep and a poor diet and just going. It's all catching up with me phisically. Done beat the ol' body and mind too much. Been having fun though. That is one thing about being in a club sometimes ya get called on at all hours of the day and night to Take care of buisness. It's all good and that's what it's about. A lot of what I do is simply going with the Boss to differen't places which I enjoy anyway. It's more than just working. It's spending time with those I love.

I also fit in this weekend going to a friends house and doing a 20,000 mile service on the bike. I have been spending alot of time at my club brothers bar and other clubhouses. Today I got a pie in my face cause my birthday is next friday. They decided to do it today and I almost outran the guy trying to pie me but my pants were sliding off while I was sprinting and I had to slow down to pull them up and he got me. You ever seen a 300 pound man sprint? It is possible and I was out running him for quite a ways. Damn pants.

Wednesday night

Hey Y'all!
Today was interesting on the job scene. I am keeping the job at the sawmill kinda on the line but told them I woulden't be available till the first. Hopefully it won't knock me out of it incase I need it. I am buying myself some time for this other deal that is in the works to give it every chance to work out.

Tonight I ended up as always on wednesdays at my club brothers bar. I had a pretty good time most of the night but I called it a earlier night than usuall to come on home. I got some things to do tommorow. It won't hurt me to get a good nights sleep.

The rest of this week will be filled up with apointments and things a going on and working on my bike, and all sorts of good stuff.

Rainy day monday

Well, Today wasn't too bad. I pried myself outta bed at 2pm this afternoon. My brother came by to visit and later on me and dad did the waffle house thing.

I had got a call for a invite to diner with one of my biker buddies. I went over to his place, The boss and Mama was there as well as some of our other biker friends. When my buddy got thru grillin' we put everything inside his garage cause the rain came down hard! We sat around for a while stuffing our faces and the rain soon passed. It was a good time and I made it home at a decent hour too. Not bad for a monday.

Maby it's a biker thing, but I don't think so cause I heard about it from my brother who heard it from someone else. Have you ever heard of beer butt chicken? It's when ya take a can of beer and shove it up the chickens ass and stand him upright to let the beer steam up thru him as he is cookin'. Thats what we had tonight. Talk about some good eatin'! That chicken was real moist and good!

Sleepy head

Hope everyone is doin' well!
Today was kind of a day off for ol' cornbread. I wasted the day napping whever I sat down at. Guess I am still catching up on some sleep.

I have been catching up on blogs I read and I have notced a trend in some of them. They like I have not been updating alot lately. There are those that I know will be updated daily, but some of them have fallen off abit. Must be in the air. I am trying to get better about posting.

Ya know what gets me? I can't believe it is already may. This year is flying by so damn fast! My birthday falls in may on the 26th. I know when my birthday rolls around that soon, next month, half the year will be over with. Wow!

This evening it rained hard here today. There was alot of lighting and some of it struck really close to the house. My internet has been going out this evening too. I wonder if my provider across town might have got hit when the storms passed thru?

Holy Shit, Can't Believe It. Cornbread is actually gonna post!

Where do I start? I have been doing my usualll things with the club and hanging out. Getting little sleep. I got 2 whole hours sleep today, Last night whatever ya wanna call it. My butt hurts cause I have been riding most of the day. Am I a Happy camper? Hell Yea!

I am gonna hit the shower and the rack soon my friends.

How is the job situation going? Well the thing that is in the works that I really wanna do but could fall thru is looking real promising right now. It's a matter of time, about three weeks before I will know for shure. Since I got that news Jobs seem to be flying at me left and right. Good paying jobs, poor paying jobs, but mostly jobs I don't wanna do. One job is working at a sawmill. Big noisey building. I have worked in those industrial type situations and I hate it. But the pay is good. I would rather do the thing in the works than work there. But I got to keep going thru the moitions so I have some work lined up in case the thing in the works falls thru. A janitor job came about that only pays minimum wage and they expect alot.

It gets me frazzled at times, but somehow it will all work out.

By the time this gets published it will be mothers day. Folks I don't have to say it but, remember your mothers some kinda way. My real Mom has been passed away 18 years now. I have had many mothers in my life at different seasons in my life. I have to say that the one the good lord put in my life here during this season in my life is extra special and Different than all the others. I am a very fortunate man to have her in my life. I guess we kinda adopted each other. Here's to You Mama! You are one of a kind!

Another day of pounding the pavement

Howdy Y'all!
I did a little more pounding the pavement. Got some more to do tommorow and thursday and then I am slowing down for a little bit. I got some encouraging word on that thing that might work out I was mentioning earlier. Ya never know what might turn up.

I need to get out and ride. Haven't been doin much of that lately. Need to clear out the cobwebs and such. Tomorow is big wednesday when we get together at my club brothers bar. I'm looking forwards to it. Need to hang and just relax some.

I wish I had some big exciting news to spread, but nope it's just another tuesday. I'm washing and drying clothes. Had pizza for dinner, me and dad. Yep just a regular quiet day. I have learned to be thankfull for quiet days. I can remeber days in my past that were not so quiet. I've seen troubles like we all have. Some of us have seen worse than others. As long as we are living, troubles make us better people somehow.

This weekend while we we out partying we met this guy who was paralized from under his arms down and was missing a leg. He had the best attitude of anybody I have seen in a long time. He had a side hack that was a platform on his harley he would strap his wheelchair into. Totally full of life and living it to the fullest. Here's to you "S". keep safe out there in the wind and never lose that spark of life ya got man. It is infectious.

Beating the bushes

Hey Y'all!
I have really been getting serious about looking for a job. Anything I can find. It's frustrating filling out applications that I know will probably be round filed or talking to people who "don't need anyone right now". I wish I could just link up with where ever it is that I am supposed to be, walk in, talk to them and start work monday. I guess the people in hell want ice water too. It ain't gonna happen that way.

There is the ever mysterious thing that might come about that I am not saying too much about because it involves some buisness dealings of someone who reads here. I will say it is intruiging, A little frustrating at times, involves rumors that are spreading around and all kinds of stuff. If it works out, Ol' cornbread has a job he will actually like. If not I am back to square one. If it works out, I'll give ya the picture. Till then I have to sit on it.

I shure will be glad when I can shave the side of my neck that I got tattooed on. I will have to wait at least another 3 days or more before I can even attempt to. That brings up another subject. My appearance. Here I am big ol' boy, all tattoed up, earings. There is no doubt I am a biker. I hope I can find a place that will accept me just the way I am. Sometimes I think it is hard to do.

Day of rest

Hey Y'all,
Last night we partyied till about 5 in the morning. Made it home at 5:15. I slept on Mamas couch. There was no way I could make the trip home. I wasn't drinking like always. I did the driving. But I laughed and danced and had fun. There is never a dull moment when I am out with the boss and mama.

Today when I got up and we went back and got Mamas truck, The boss headed home and so did I. I have spent alot of time right here in the computer chair knocked out cold. I have slept in this chair so much my back hurts now. It's all good. I guess I had some catching up to do.

Next week starts "oh shit" I gotta find a job week. I am in real need and a little preplexed right now. If you are saying any prayers, think of ol' Cornbread. He could use it right now.

Another week flown by so quick!

Hey Y'all!
I have been up to my usuall this week out all night and drag myself outta bed by noon. I did get some bad news this week. I have had a source of income that was carrying me thru for a few weeks. I thought I had a month left but as it turns out I only have one more check comming. It kinda throws me in limbo more so than I already was. As you know I mentioned earlier about getting a full set of sleeves tattooed. Well that is on hold now.

I have had a couple of job interviews fall thru and there is something that I have been hoping will work out that hasn't come about yet. I am cautiously optimistic as a friend put it as to the outcome of that. There are some other long range things in the works. Only problem is these things are not in hand yet and could fall thru. I need some stability soon.

I did get my neck tattooed on the right side tonight with my clubs initials. It is really big for a neck tattoo and looks intimidating. I like it. I figure it is a compromise to get it done since I have had to put the other tattoo's on hold.

Yeppers! I'm baaack!!!!

Howdy Y'all!
Sundays poker run we put on was a sucess. There were a few minor glitches but everything worked out great. We had 125 bikes signed in. That number was up considerably from last year. Only one bike having problems that I knew of. Everybody made it to the end safe.

Today Me and the boss were cleaning up and getting everything put away from sundays run. It was alot of work, but we managed. Since I am not working and was available to help thats what I did for most of the day. If not he would have done it all by himself which is really too much for him, but he would do it. I had a really good time hanging out with him today and we enjoyed each others company. About three o'clock after most everything was done I left and went and helped another friend of the clubs move the last of his stuff into his house.

The grill we used for the hog we cooked was pulled behind my truck today to take to a brothers house. After I got thru helping the friend of the club I met up with my club brother to transfer the grill to his truck at a restaurant that was convienient for us to meet at. Low and behold Mama and the Boss were eating at the same restaurant! We all sat down outside after their dinner and smoked cigarettes and visitied for awhile.

I am tired, but today was a great day!
