One more day in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
This morning we went to my nieces baby's dedication at a baptist church. It was nice although I slept thru most of the service. I didn't miss the dedication part.

Later on we went to my dad's house and cleaned out a bunch of my stuff. It was depressing. We got it home and had supper family style. J, K's boyfriend came today and loaded stuff in the truck with my nieces step son. He stayed over at the house this evening and had supper with us. J has gone home now. C and I are relaxing and winding down.

Putting some miles on the bike

Hey Y'all!
C and I have been gone over to South Carolina all day on a poker run. It was hotter than blue blazes and my back is killing me, But we had a good time. We only had one break down. One of the guys from my club has a trike. He went to take off from a stop light and the drive belt broke. He had to trailer the rest of the way and take his trike home on a trailer.

We came home and relaxed a little bit and C made a big spaghetti supper. We just got thru a little while ago. Man it was good!

I am hurting and paying for playing today big time. I can't get comfortable. I am out of my morphine because of a screw up at the VA. Hopefully they will get it to me next week.

Swamp days

Hey Y'all,
Hope everyone is doing well. I am having a rough night. My morphine ran out today and my back hurts. I am not feeling well.

We went out tonight with friends for supper. After that we went to wal mart. We didn't buy much just some things we needed. We made it home and now we are relaxing.

I am going to go do my evening meds and get ready for bed soon. We have to get up early tomorrow to go on a poker run.

Peacefull day at the swamp

Hey Y'all!!
I had a nice day today. Not doing much just hanging out with C and K and J K's boyfriend. I got some of my peace of mind back. C is so good for me. It's nice to have somebody to share life with that I can trust and let my guard down. We really are good for each other.

Tonight we went to the auction and spent like 11 bucks to have a good time. We like going there. C got some stainless measuring cups and spoons, a little rack to hold nic knacks and a white ceramic basket. We were going to bid on some glass jars with lids on them but missed them.

We are home winding down now after a nice day.

Thanks to all the people who have called and commented and let me know they care if I am doing Ok. It leaves me with a good feeling.

Back from the nut house

Hey Y'all,
I just got back from being locked up at the funny farm. I started to nut up about a week ago and drove myself to the VA in Augusta and they checked me in. They changed my medication and now I am feeling a lot better.

My time in there was miserable. I don't take confinement too well. There are some individuals that work there that have no business in health care. It seems like if they could make your life more miserable, they would do it. There were some good people that worked there, but a lot of them sucked. I am so glad to be out of there. I felt like I was in jail again. God I am so glad to be out of there.

C hit the roof when the discharged me. They sent me home with no medication and told me they would mail it to me. We got a hold of my doctor and he lit a fire under some peoples asses and I got my medication. I don't want to go off the deep end because I would not have had medication and end right back in there or worse. It made for a stressful day.

That is where I have been and been doing. It's not pretty, but it's real.

Did something I shouldn't have-Paying for it now

I tried to lift and pull a king size mattress today. Bad move. Now I am paying for it.

Other than that today has been a good day. I got a few things accomplished. I put the rest of them off till tomorrow because I have to go out of town to take care of them.

I will be out at dads tomorrow too take care of some things too.

Nice day of rest at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I slept the day away today. It was great. I got up for lunch and laid back down. I needed the rest. C woke me up around five and her and I, K and her boyfriend went out for a nice family night out. We had supper and then went to wall mart and came home. We made it between rain storms. It has been nasty out this evening. I feel nice and relaxed.

Nice day in the cloudy south

Hey Y'all,
Today was pleasant. We went to my dads house. C and my brother and my niece and her husband got a lot done for this yard sale in the morning. That took a little while. We had a real estate agent back out to the house for a second interview. After talking with her a little more we have decided to go with her to sell the house. She is from century 21 realty in my dads hometown.

Tonight we had club church at one of the brothers house. It was a good time hanging out with my extended family. After church we had fried chicken with all the fixin's. Everybody brought something.

Tonight we are relaxing now that we got back home. I am wide awake. We have to get up early tomorrow for this yard sale at my dads house. I don't know when I am going to get to sleep. *heavy sigh*

Thursday at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Today during the day was spent around the house. I didn't go get that tattoo I was thinking about on my other hand. I was tired and sleepy this morning and I am not shure I want to get off the money to have it done. I called up and cancelled my appointment. The tattoo is on the back burner right now.

C took K to the doctor this morning to get checked out. She has asthma and a cold she can't seem to shake. She is doing OK but coughing a lot.

This evening we went to South Carolina to visit some friends and have supper. It was a nice relaxing time.

I am tired as usual. I don't seem to have any energy these days. I feel weak and vulnerable. My back is shot. I don't think I could even defend myself successfully should I run up on one of those people I kicked out of the bar when I worked as a bouncer that may still be mad at me. It's not a good feeling.

Long day

Hey Y'all!
I am tired again. C spent the day with my niece at dads house again today. They got a lot accomplished. I spent a little while over there but not much. I was gone most of the day at the social security office applying for benefits. That is a long tiring process.

We made it home and rested for a bit. C, K, and one of K's friends and I went out for supper at the local restaurant. K's friend is coming over later to spend the night. They are just getting home as I speak.

Back from the VA

Hey Y'all,
I went to the VA today. I am wore out right now. It went pretty good today. The doc is after me to lose weight amongst other things. I did get X-rays of my lower back. Perhaps they will show something.

C drove up there and I drove back. I am glad she drove up there because I was asleep most of the way. I took us a different way back. It was nice for a change.

Monday swamp

Hey Y'all,
We got up this morning and went to the local restaurant and had lunch. After that we headed to my dad's house. C and my niece went thru a bunch of stuff to get it ready for the yard sale. I've been feeling like crap today, but I got a lot done over the phone.

We came home tonight and C grilled steaks between rain storms. We had a nice family supper at home.

Hey Y'all,
Today was a relaxing day. We went out to the local restaurant and got there before the church crowd showed up. We came home and C opened her presents. I laid down and took a nap.

We had a couple that we have been friends with for years stopped by. C cut their hair. After that we went over to some other friends we are close with and had a cook out. It was a nice relaxing time. I enjoyed taking it easy. K made peach cobbler and brought it over, it was really good.

Tonight we are doing more of the same. Relaxing that is. C is watching TV now and i will probably join her in a little while.

Saturday at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We went out to my dad's house today and met another real estate agent. So far this one today impressed me more than the other ones.

After we got thru with the Realtor we met a bunch of people from the club. We went to a benefit supper for the boys home we have adopted as our charity. It was at the local high school. A senor for his class project was putting it on to raise funds for the home. He raised 2400 dollars for the boys home. That's one hell of a class project!! The boy's home really needs it in these hard economic times.

My back was hurting only a little today until I made the walk from the parking lot to the high school cafeteria. Then it started giving me fits. I am nursing it right now and it is very painful and stiff. I had on suspenders which didn't help the situation either. I have took my pain meds, but they aren't helping much. I'll take more at midnight. I hope I can get comfortable to sleep tonight.

Feeling bad today

Hey Y'all,
Been feeling bad today. Back has been giving me a lot of problems too. I'm dealing with it like I always do.

We went over to my dads house today and met with real estate agents that were there to look at the house. There were varying opinions on what we should do and not due. Tomorrow we have a real estate agent coming over that is real well known in my dads home town.

I have left in the middle of writing this post and took a hot shower, took my pain meds, and watched a little tv with C. It is now 3:15 am. I am fixing to go to bed.

Screwed blue and tattooed

Hey Y'all,
We pretty much had a relaxing day today. I got some good news, my unemployment has got approved.

This afternoon after K got out of school, Her her boyfriend J, C and I went to the tattoo parlor so C and I could get our tattoos. I got one on my left hand today and was supposed to get one on my right hand, but we ran out of time. I am scheduled to get it done next Thursday. C got a hearts and roses tatt on her shoulder. She said it hurt. She says this will be her last tattoo, but that could always change in the future. I am proud of her getting the tattoos she has got in the last week or so. She will be proud of them for a lifetime. I think they make her look even more sexy.

Good friends of ours came out to watch us get tattooed and to give us their support. When we got thru getting tattooed we all took off and had supper at Ryan's. After that we headed home and stopped by CVS pharmacy store to pick up supplies to aide in the healing of our tattoos that my tattooist recommended.

I have been taking my pee pee pills. I am wizzing like a mad man right now. It's working thou. My legs and feet are going down considerably and not hurting as bad. I have to keep up my regimen to keep things heading in the right direction.

Frustrating night at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Today was going good till this evening. C and I went and visited my big brother and my sister in law for a little while. We headed on into the big city where the tattoo salon is. Stopped by there and then went out for a nice supper. The phone calls started coming in that K and J weren't getting along. I got pissed dealing with it. I had decided that J was going to have to go. There was a lot of phone calling and fussing. We got home and J was being a total ass. I got my ass on my shoulders and we got into a tiff. I called the cops and had her removed right then. Their has been a lot leading up to this. J is lazy and would do nothing but lay on the couch all day. She would fight with her sister to the point K was in tears regularly. She is supposed to be a adult. She would do nothing to help her sister and mom around here. She was really turning into a big disappointment. She would do nothing to help herself like get unemployment. She had a free ride and she knew it. Well the free ride is over as of tonight.

C is upset and worried about J and is shaken over the whole situation. J said a lot of hurtful nasty things to her mother tonight.

Needless to say tonight was a bad night.

Nice day in the rainy swamp

Hey Y'all,
I slept late this morning. C and got up and had lunch at the local restaurant. We came home and relaxed. After K got out of school, J, K, C and I took off to South Carolina and met some friends of ours for supper. We had a good time and everybody enjoyed there meal.

Afterwards C, K and I went to my tattooist. I dropped of some artwork and C is getting it worked out for her another tattoo. We have a appointment for Thursday afternoon to get tattooed!

I am already heavily tattooed on my arms. I have small tatts on my hands near my thumbs. I am going to get tatts on both hands that will take up the back of my hands. C will get her tatt on her other shoulder. I think it will look sexy on her, just like the other one. I love tattooed ladies.

Back from the VA

Hey Y'all!
I made it to the VA. C and I took off about 4 this morning and went up there. They did chest X-rays on me which came out OK. The doctor quadrupled my lasix (pee pee pills) and I have to take anti biotics 4 times a day.

There was a payment from my dads estate made recently. I haven't said anything about it because I was waiting for some of the other people who read here to get their check. This is the garage I am getting only it is beige with blue trim.

We have needed a garage or shelter of some type for awhile now. I was thinking about this garage for awhile now and had talked to the dealer back last year to get estimates. I was thinking about getting a contracter to build a garage or possibly doing it myself with the help of one of my friends. Since my health has gone down lately, doing it myself is out of the question. It would cost me a lot more to hire a contractor to build me a garage than I want to afford right now. I think I get the most bang for the buck out of the one I am having built pre fabricated.

Going to the VA tonight

Hey Y'all,
Today has been a take it easy day. I went with a friend of mine to Lowes so he could use my truck. He needed to pick up a couple of sheets of plywood and some 2x4's. We did that and came back home.

I doubled up on my lasix and my feet and legs have gone down some, but not enough. After C and I relax awhile we are going to take off out of town and go to the VA and let them check me out. I have been avoiding going up there because I am afraid they will put me in the hospital.

C's right of passage

Hey Y'all!
We just got in from South Carolina. We were at a party and tattoo party there with the motorcycle club. C got her first tattoo. It is a rose shaped like a heart. The guy did a great job on her. Since it was a tattoo party for the club we got it at a rock bottom price. I was supposed to get two tattoo's but the inkslinger ran out of supplies and it was getting late. I will get mine done later.

We got K's hair done this morning for the military ball and graduation. She went back to her natural hair color with high lites. She also had her hair thinned a little. It looks awesome.

My legs are swollen really bad and are painful. I will probably go to the VA in the morning. They are really looking bad. I was going to push it till the middle of the week to see if they would get any better, but I don't know if I can make it that long.

Friday at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I was awakened this morning by the phone ringing. It was K. She needed her inhaler and medicine at school. She was having trouble breathing. I found the stuff and took it to her. When I got back C and I headed to my dads house and met my cousin. Her and C went thru the stuff still left in my room and got it ready to get out of there. I spent most of the time sleeping in the truck.
We came home and went to motorcycle club church. It was a short meeting. We grilled hamburgers and hung out for awhile then came home.

I woke up this morning and my feet and legs were way swollen. They have been getting red and swelling for awhile, but today they looked really bad. I can't put on a pair of shoes and have to wear flip flops. If it doesn't look better by Wednesday, I am going to the VA and getting checked out. I just hope I don't end up in the hospital like last time.

Well That's about it, I guess I'll say goodbye for tonight.
