Good day at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I had a good day today. Got a few things accomplished while C was at work. She made it home from work and we relaxed for awhile and hung out.

We went to the bar I use to work at tonight and had supper. I had pizza and C had a burger and skillet taters with onions. We were getting sloppy with the hard stuff--diet coke, lol. C and I don't really drink. It is rare that we have something with alcohol in it. That's why we don't go to bars. We like going once in awhile to the bar I use to work at to see my old boss and some of the people that still go there and to have supper. We don't hold anything against people who drink within reason, Stuff like that just doesn't appeal to us that much. I guess we're getting old, lol.

We are home doing the kick back and relax for the evening thing.

Another day in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I got woke up by a phone call this morning after I had been asleep for about 3 hours. I wasn't pissed. It was somebody that didn't show up last night when we were meeting up for supper. Turned out he was OK. His phone wouldn't work where he was at.

It was hard for me to get motivated today. I finally got out of the house about 1 pm and did what I had to do in town. C got off work early today. I came home and hung out with her awhile and then I took a nap. I woke up around 7 and went and got Chinese for supper. I am doing some dishes now that I put off today and relaxing. I keep yawning.

Restin' and ridin'

Hey Y'all,
I was feeling down in my back today. I slept most of the day away. We got up and went on a motorcycle ride with the club. I am a little sore right now. I know as the night goes on I will get more stiff and sore. I have come to accept it.

While we were out today one of the guys bike was having electrical problems. We stopped at a gas station. My bike was making a lot of engine noise. I checked my oil and it wasn't even touching the dip stick. I ended up putting 3 quarts of oil in it. It only holds about 4 and a half. Not good. I'm going to have to get it to the shop.

We picked our first two maters tonight when we got in. We sliced one of them up and ate it with salt and pepper. C and I agreed that was a damn good tomato! There ain't nothing like a home grown vine ripe mater. Them store ones they pick half ripe and let them ripen up. Just ain't as good.

Hey Y'all,
We went out of town into middle South Carolina for a club function. C and I had a good time and the food was delicious. Especially the watermelon. It was a long drive up there, but we took the car. It has A/C and is more comfortable. I can't take the heat and my back won't let make those long rides on the bike anymore.

We made it home this evening and relaxed for awhile. C was good enough to make me a spaghetti supper. Oh gosh it was good! I think that was some of the best spaghetti I have ever had. I am sore and tired but I am in a good mood. My wife is so good to me. Good wife, good friends, good food, I am a happy man.

C busted her ass big time under the moss covered oaks

Hey Y'all,
We got up early this morning and went to the big city to take care of some business. C was walking across the street after going to the parking meter and slipped and fell on the cobble stones. Some guy jumped out of his truck and helped me get her out of the middle of the street. She skint up her knee and it is swollen even thou she had jeans on, scraped her elbow, and her whole right side hurts. She still went to work and put in a full day.

I came home and got in my chair and slept. I was catching up on some much needed rest. I haven't been sleeping too good at night. Staying up all hours. C called me twice thru out the day and I finally got up the second time. I feel pretty good now thou.

We went out to The local restaurant and they had a special on a crab leg and seafood platter. Carrie ate the crab legs and tossed salad, and I ate the shrimp and other stuff.

K is working and has a party to go to when she gets off. One of her best friends is turning 18 today. I just worry about her because I know what parties were like for me when I was that age. There is a lot of stupid shit that can go on. I guess that's part of being a dad.

Long swamp day

Hey Y'all,

I didn't get much sleep last night. I fell asleep on the toilet again. I hate doing that. I got to sleep and got up about 3 hours later. I have been feeling it all day.

I had to run to my dads town today to take care of some buisness for dad. I dropped C's car off by the mechanic for a minor repair and waited on it. The heat was almost unbearable today

I brought C her car to work and brought her lunch. I got to meet the owner. She was very nice. It was nice to get back in my truck.

We went to the auction tonight but didn't stay long. It was hot and we didn't see anything we were interested in. We went to our local restaurant and met K there.

We are home now and relaxing. C is in there watching the reports about Michael Jacksons death and Farah Fawcet.I never cared much for wacko jacko. Farah Fawcet was a young boys dream back in the day.

I did hear the organization pedophiles for peace thru plastic surgery is in deep mourning.

I gots the booger snot blues

Hey Y'all,
I was a house mouse mostly today. I did a few dishes and some other things. I went to the tag office to get some things straitened out. Went by the post office to drop off a letter.

K worked today till about 2. She came home checked the computer and went to bed for a few hours.
C came home this evening and we grilled steaks. They were good. We are relaxing now. C had a good day at work and is liking it. She is going in early tomorrow.

Chillin in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I stayed inside most of the day today. It was just too hot. I was alone all day because K went to her friends house. I got some things done, phone calls I needed to make and some things around the house. Tomorrow looks like more of the same.

I met C at a Chinese buffet and we had supper. I got to hear about her new job. Her first day went great but she was tired. She's in there watching deadliest catch and after the catch. I'll probably join her when it's over.

I got to talk to my brother R from Tennessee tonight. He is doing good. Going fishing in the morning.

K is in her room hanging out and probably reading and texting a new boy she is interested in.

Quickie before bed in the swamp

Hey Y'all
We got the paperwork done to sell the house. Everything is set with the Realtor.
Did a lot of running around today. Went to the junkyard looking for a sun visor. Returned a part to auto zone parts store. Ate Captain D's seafood on the side of the road by a cow pasture. Met friends at dairy queen for a ice cream and came home.

Good eatin in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We got up this morning and went to the waffle house. I had a old fashioned ham and cheese omelet with extra cheese and some grits. After that we went to the flea market but I couldn't hold up walking around too long. I had to go back to the car and sit.

We went to wall mart and brought home some groceries. I cleaned out the refrigerator of all the science projects. It was pretty rough.

We went tonight to some friends house and had a good old fashioned Sunday supper. We had lasgana, home fried chicken, lima beans, sweet peas, tater salad, sliced maters and sweet tea. That was some good eatin'.

We came home and got out of the heat. It has still been hot and muggy even after the sun starts going down.

K has a friend spending the night tonight. They are in her room giggling like little girls.

C is watching TV right now. I am going to join her in a minute. I have been writing out bills for the month and figuring out how poor we really are.

I don't remember if I have mentioned it on here or not. I haven't wanted to say anything until we knew absolutely for sure it was a sealed deal. We have had the rug pulled out from us before. C got a job and starts Tuesday. She will be working for a plumbing company as a dispatcher. It couldn't come at a better time. With me unable to work recently, We have been depending a lot on savings. The lord works things out somehow.

It will be different for me with her gone during the day. I am going to miss her terribly. We spend all our time together. It will be good for her to get out and interact with other people. She is looking forwards to it.

Staying out of the heat at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I have been inside all day and avoiding the heat. It's just too much for me.

Tonight we went to applebees with friends from my club. It was a nice supper. It took a long time for our food to get there. It was good thou. Real busy in there.

I am home and my back hurts. I was having dizzy spells after we ate but I am feeling better. Just kind of tired and drained now. I don't know what is wrong with me. I'll be alright.

More heat

Hey Y'all,

I know I keep bitching about the heat, but it's getting worse. Tomorrow it' 101, Saturday it's 102, Sunday it cools down to 99. Somethings got to give.

Today we were doing car stuff. We took two vehicles. We stopped by my aunt's house for a little bit and visited while we we waiting on the car.

We went by the auction but couldn't bare the heat. We didn't see anything we wanted in the back where there is no A/C, so we came on home.

Another hot day at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I hate this heat. It's terrible. I know it's south Georgia and I have lived here almost all my life, but Dang!

C and I went to my dads town and did some shopping and running around. That took up this afternoon. We didn't get up till 10:30 or so this morning. I am yawning right now even thou we got all that sleep last night.

We are home relaxing right now. K just made it home from work. She had a rough day.

Good day and bad day

Hey Y'all,
C and I are still recovering from the weekend. We are both zapped. I was having a good day today until K came home and started her shit. She has got this attitude going on since she graduated high school. I was so pissed at her I was shaking. I had to get away from her. I am getting tired of her shit and I don't need my nerves strummed. She had the balls to tell her mother tonight to stay out of her life because it was none of her business. I hit the roof. If I had said something like that to my parents I would have got my face slapped. Kids. Gotta love 'em but ya ain't gotta like them sometimes.

C and I took a ride on the bike to wal mart. She was shopping for jeans but couldn't find any she liked, so she bought a night shirt. It is green with little stars. Pretty cool.

We are home relaxing. K is working right now. Personally I am glad because I don't want to see her right now. She pissed me off that bad.

Wore out.

Hey Y'all,
I didn't post yesterday because I was busy with a big event with the motorcycle club. It has been a long tiring weekend. C and I are both exhausted and sore. I am glad things like this only happen once in awhile.

We made it home sometime between 11 and 12 today. We came inside, didn't even unload the truck and crashed and burned for a few hours. I'm hurting. So is C.

We didn't get to see our friends from north Ga. much. Friday night and that was about it. C and I were busy as hell and they were over at the beach which is a little ways from us.

Friends come a callin' at the swamp

Hey Y'all,

Our friends from north Ga came into town today. They came here to the house and cooled off for a little while. They were riding the bike, so both of the were burnt. Carries bud A didn't have it so bad because she already had a tan. He husband C was pretty red thou. We went out to a chinese buffet. They had crab legs and I had sushi. Our friends headed for the beach and got a motel room for a couple of nights. Carrie and I headed to the clubhouse for a little while and then went to wal mart. I rode the electric shopping cart



We are home and taking it easy. There has been a rain storm passing thru with a lot of lightening. It's still hot outside. In the 80's and it's after midnight. This heat is something eles.

J and K crawled under the house and found the kittns monkey had. There was five of them but one died. K said it looked like monkey was taking good care of them.

Long day- swamp style

Hey Y'all,
We got up early this morning and headed to the town my dad lived in. C needed to go by the unemployment office. My niece's husband was going into surgery this morning. My niece couldn't be with him when he went in because of a previous commitment she had made for today. C and I stayed with B till he went into surgery My niece showed up after that. We stayed around until we knew he was Ok and my niece had everything under control. B made it out of surgery fine and is recovering in the hospital.

We went to the unemployment office this afternoon. C got done what she needed to. We headed out and got C's nails done. They were way way overdue. There was a petco in the same shopping center as the nail salon. I picked up some cat food, litter, and cat treats. We came home and met K for supper. We are now home, out of the heat and relaxing.

Between my back and this heat, I don't know how I am going to handle it this summer. I wish it was spring or fall. My back hurts all the time and I can't stay on my feet long. I am in a fix folks. I guess I ain't no spring chicken anymore.

Hotter than blue blazes in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We went over to our friends house in South Carolina. C cut our friends hair and her sisters too. Me and her husband did some running around town in the middle of the afternoon. His truck doesn't have any A/C. I was dying! I was getting dizzy and not feeling well at all. We got back and I had to sit in our friends shop in front of the A/C and cool down. I still wasn't feeling good and dizzy for awhile. When we got in the truck and turned up the A/C it felt sooooo good!

We came home tonight and relaxed a little while. J, K's ex boyfriend came over and talked to K in the front yard. We left and met friends at the local restaurant. K showed up a little later on and we had supper. It was a nice time out.

K has a girl friend over tonight to spend the night. They have gone to the store right now to get some snacks.

lazy day at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Didn't do much today. A friend came over and cut my grass. C got out there and burned a couple of boxes of papers that came out of my room at dads. I toted a box out, took out the trash and farted around a little bit out in the heat. I was starting to feel bad and had to come in. I cooled off and I was zapped. I laid down and didn't wake up for 5 hours!

K went over to her friends house to spend the night. C and I had scrambled eggs and bacon for supper. I went to the grocery store and picked us up some ice cream. We had a bowl or two tonight while relaxing.

I was feeling blah earlier tonight, but now I am feeling better. The depression seems to come and go. I think that bowl of ice cream and spending time with C helped me out.

Well, It's time for me to take my evening meds.

Feeling rough

Hey Y'all,
I ain't feeling good. I hope I ain't coming down with something.

We went to South Carolina to our friends house. We took over a table and chairs I was trying to sell in the yard sale and it didn't go. Our friends daughter needed a table. It ain't much. It's a old pink Formica table from the 60's. When we got dads table, we no longer have a use for it.

We had supper over at our friends and hung out for awhile. K came with us and hung out. It was good to see her get out of the house.

More rain

Hey Y'all,
C and I went over to dads house today. C finished going thru her stuff stored out in the shop. I think there was more in the throw away pile than the take home pile. We loaded up the truck and got it home and in my shop. C and I both are exhausted and sore.

K is broken up over this with J. J won't talk to her and that is only making matters worse. She is real depressed and isn't eating much. C and I are worried about her. She goes to work tomorrow. Maby that will get her mind off things a little.

Long day. Good and bad

Hey Y'all,
I am upset right now because K is upset really bad. Her fiance broke it off with her tonight. She is heart broken and crushed. All C and I can do for her is be there, let her know we love her and be supportive. It's hard seeing her go thru this.

Today we went to a friends daughters 2 year birthday party. We had a great time. To see the kids light up made my day.

We went over to dads today and C sorted thru a lot of her stuff. Tomorrow we are going to haul it all off. Some to the dump and some home.

Another rainy day in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We got C a new phone today. My contract was up for renewal. We got her a samsung delve and put it on her line. It's one of those touch screen ones. C likes it and is learning it.

We went to motorcycle club church tonight. We were late because I overslept. I laid down to take a nap and the next thing I knew C was coming out of the bedroom hollering "turn that damn alarm off!" It had only been going off for a hour, and it was time then for us to leave the house. We hurried up and got out the door. C got me a birthday cake since we didn't get to celebrate my birthday when I was locked up in the loony bin.

We are home relaxing. C is watching T.V. K got off work and has gone to bed. She had a long evening because she had to come in early to work.

Hey Y'all,
I was surfing ebay and I got my lawn jockey. I wanted concrete, but they are just way too expensive. I found a poly resin one cheap. He's white which will keep C happy and he is holding a battery powered light. I also looked up cast iron wash pots. I realized I got a hell of a deal! I paid 35 bucks for mine at the auction. Ones the size of mine were going for around 400 bucks. I found one exactly like mine and the guy wanted 1,ooo bucks for it! I don't think he will get it and he's dreaming. But DAMN!!

Another good day at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We had a wonderful evening. Our friends from South Carolina came over and we went to the auction. Our friends got a really good deal on some bar stools. I got a big cast iron wash/cook pot I can put in the front yard. (Now all I need is a yard jockey- It's a southern thing). C got some clothes for K and J and some really neat ball canning jars with the glass lids and wire that holds the lids down. We took a break from the auction and went to Louanns and had supper. I had some baked ham,pole beans and taters, cole slaw and pecan pie. God I love living in the south.

I am going to start checking around for that yard jockey. C has already warned me I can't get a little black one because we live in a mixed neighborhood. Hell I don't particularly care what the neighbors think. I might even wire up a little light for him to hold. The legend is back in the old south if the yard jockey was holding a light, it meant one of the slaves escaped.

K has some of her girl friends over tonight and they are hanging out in her room. She worked hard today. We pulled a prank on her. She was taking orders at the drive thru. C and I pulled up first and ordered a cheese burger with no bun. Our friends from South Carolina pulled in behind us and ordered a cheese burger with no meat bun only. We had fun.

I pretty much didn't do anything today. I didn't even go outside until this evening. Tonight we met my niece and her crew and had supper out at applebees. K and J came along. It was a nice family time out.

We are back home relaxing now. Overall it's been a good day and i feel content.

Looney toons in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Went and saw the shrink at the VA today. He changed up some of my meds because I have been having some problems. Hopefully this will straiten them out. As the doc put it today "it is a little bit of a bumpy road when we are changing medications. We will meddle with them until things get better" In the mean time I have a lot to deal with.

I am tired, I went by dads house and met my brother, sister in law and my nieces step son. They loaded some stuff in my truck and I brought it back home. We have to get stuff out of there by Monday so the cleaners can come in. I have got to where I hate going over there because I get depressed. I miss my dad and that was the house I grew up in. Now it is going away and I have to be a part of it. I guess that's life. It tells me I am not over the grief yet.

I am home relaxing and reflecting on the day. It has been a long one, but overall good. So I shouldn't complain.

The sweltering swamp

Hey Y'all,
Today was a little hectic. C and I had a bunch of running around to do this morning when we got back the power was off. The house was 90 degrees. With this new medication I am on, If i stay in the heat too much I get dizzy and sick. I went out to the truck and sat there with the A/C cranked up. C stayed inside and did some work on my laptop that has battery power and a alltel modem.

We had hamburger helper beef stroganoff for supper tonight. It was good! I took a nap and when I woke up I had another bowl. C made me some jello a little while ago and it should be set up by tomorrow.
