Busy monday

Hey Y'all,

Today was a busy day. B, the girl who is living with us is having some kidney problems. We picked her up from work. We are going to take her to the doctor tomorrow.

We took Ks car to the mechanic today to get the splatter shield under the radiator re attached. She ran off into the ditch while we were gone and damn near tore it off amongst other things. We had to go out of town to take care of some business. My check book would not balance big time. I had to take it by the bank to get it fixed. We went by my families jewelers to get a ring checked out. We had some other business to attend to. Stopped by the mechanic on the way home to pick up the car. I paid it and passed the bill along to K.

We were home for a little while and I went to the grocery store. By the time I made it back it was raining hard and the bottom had dropped out. We had a spaghetti supper that C fixed. It was delicious! I ate a big ol' plate full.

Tonight the Internet has been kind of spotty on both the computers. I tried to post earlier but couldn't do it.

Sunday easy in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Today was a nice relaxing day. C, B and I went to the local restaurant and had a nice breakfast. We then went to a local store and C bought candles and some gifts for a baby shower she went to this afternoon. I got a toy for Gracie our kitten.

We came on home and the girls went to a company party where they work. C went to the baby shower and I got the house all to myself.

C and I tried to catch the wild cats under the house with no success. I was ready this time with leather gloves on. I couldn't get near them no matter how hard I tried. I am going to have to set up my live trap I think to get them.

Home

Hey Y'all,
We made it back home from North Ga this evening. I am glad to be back. There is so many things to take care of. Basically for the last month we have been gone with a couple of visits home for two or three days. I like to get away, but as the old saying goes- There's no place like home!!

We have been staying with our friends, C and A. They are good friends and have showed us a lot of hospitality. We really enjoy their company. We always look forwards to seeing them. I wish we lived closer so we could see more of them.

I ran out of my pain meds while we were away which made me miserable. I wish I could get up and go like I use to, pain free and mobile. I can't do a lot of walking and stairs kill me. If you are young and reading this, take care of your body because if you don't you will pay for it dearly later on in life. I feel like a old man, but I still don't take good care of myself like I am supposed to.

Tired and sore, overheated today

Hey Y'all,
We got a lot done today that we needed to do. I got the truck unloaded and C put it all up where it's supposed to go. We did a our running around and bills off in the mail.

It has been a long hot day. I am very sore. I am looking forwards to a shower and sleep tonight. I have to wait up for B to come home so I can let her in.

Well I am going to make this a short one. I am not feeling very well.

Sunday at the swamp

Hey Y'all,

I didn't get to sleep this am till between 5 and 6. I woke up about 9 and fell asleep in front of the computer again. We went to the flea market to meet some friends and I slept in the truck. We then rode to South Carolina to get some cigarettes.

After we came home C, K and I shot the guns in the back yard. We had a good time.

Supper was chicken and dumpling and veggie soup. It was fantastic!

Now we are relaxing. I have to pick up B from work tonight when she gets off.

Back in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Made it back home yesterday safe, sound, and exhausted. Went out to eat with the kids and came back home and relaxed. It rained terrible last night and this evening.

We went to wally world and picked up some things today. K and B went out to a party tonight and C is gone off with some of our friends tonight. That means I have the house to myself for a few hours and as long as nobody gets into trouble while they are gone, I will have a nice relaxed evening. I need it.

Looks like I will be going back up to north Ga with C next week. I don't know which day yet. We have a lot of running around to do especially Monday to take care of stuff that has been piling up since we have been gone. It may spill over into Tuesday or Wednesday.

I am tired and sore. It done me some good to be up and moving around the last couple of weeks, but I am paying for it too. I can't do much more.

Headin home in the morning friday

Hey Y'all,
We had another day of heat, grime and sweat. We went to the auction tonight. Now we are back at our friends house.

We are looking forwards to going back home in the morning. We have been away so long. I am so ready to get back and get my buisness took care of. C is coming back up next week I don't know when. I may be comming up to. I don't know yet.

I am going to make this short. I am tired and very sore.

Long day today

Hey Y'all,
We had a long, hot, sweaty, very dirty, day. We got even more accomplished than yesterday. Our friends we are staying with came over and helped us today. We wouldn't have got as far as we did without their help. Our friend got stung by yellow jackets 6 times. After that, we called it quits.

We all came home and got showers. After that, we went to a really good Mexican restaurant. It was a great meal and I got rehydrated on sweet tea.

We are back at our friends house and relaxing. We are tired, but feeling good enjoying our friends company.

Tired

Hey Y'all,

We spent the afternoon at my father in laws. We got hot and sweaty and dirty helping him with some stuff.

I didn't post last night because we didn't make it in until 2 am and we were exhausted. We slept till noon and didn't get going till 1:30 or so. On the way home we stopped by a Chinese restaurant and had supper. It was good and we were hungry. It rained hard while we were in there eating.

Tomorrow were going back early in the morning. Let's hope it doesn't rain.

Fun nite in north Ga

Hey Y'all,

C went over to her dads today and they got a lot done on their project. I stayed at the motel room today and caught up on sleep.

Tonite when C got back, she got her shower and we met friends and her dad to go watch wrasling. It was poor acting at best, but fun to watch. It was fun to watch the kids and adults cheering their favorite wrestlers. I haven't been to a wrestling match in years. I really had a good time. C got a laugh out of it. It's not something we would do every Saturday night. If we were up here sometime, I would like to go back.

I wish I was home

Hey Y'all,

I didn't get to sleep till after daylight. I probably got 4 or so hours of sleep. We took it easy today. Got out for a little bit and then came back to the motel and I took about a hour nap.

This evening we went to the auction up here. We bought a few things, but not a lot. My father in law was there. We all sat toghether in the front row.

We are at the motel room and relaxing. Will be going to bed soon.

Long days away from home

Hey Y'all,

We have been out of town since Tuesday. We came back to north Ga to help my father and mother in law. We have been staying with friends up here. Verizon service only seems to work on my computer at home. No where else.

We are in a motel room for a few days while our friends go out of town. We couldn't stay at their house while they were gone. It's cool with us. We are enjoying ourselves here and it kind of breaks things up.

Yesterday we were helping my father in law go thru some things and get it ready for auction. I fell and had to go to the emergency room at the VA in Atlanta. Thankfully nothing was broke. There is a big mark on my back where I hit the concrete ledge and I have some bruises. I have been sore as hell. C got stung by yellow jackets as did another friend that was helping us. It was not a good day.

Today we went to the auction to sell some of the stuff for my father in law. We didn't get to sell because the number we drew was so high. There was hardly anybody in there by the time it was our turn. We will try again Monday.

Well C is asleep and I am not far behind her.

tired in the swamp

Hey Y'all,

We got up this morning when my friend come to cut the grass. After he left we headed into town and had lunch. After that C and I took off to my dads town and took care of a lot of stuff we had to do. We got pedicures while there and C got a french manicure too. It was getting on along in the afternoon. We went to South Carolina and picked up cigarettes. We came back home and had a bite to eat.

Tonight I caught one of the cats that was hanging out under the house with my bare hands. That thing ate me up! I was bleeding like a stuck pig. I put her in the bed of the pick up and went inside to get my gloves. She got out while I was inside. We kept trying to catch her but to no avail.

In the morning we are going to head back out to north Ga to take care of C's parents. It is going to be a lot of work.

We are cooling off and relaxing right now.

Back in the swamp for a day or so

Hey Y'all,
We got home this evening. We are going back up there on tuesday. We have a lot of work to do to help C's parents out. The next two weeks are going to be busy for us.

Tomorrow is going to busy, busy, busy. We have a lot to do here at home and only one day to do it. It's going to be awhile before we truly get any rest.

C's mom is doing well. We saw her today and she looked really good. She still has a lot of healing to do.

Goo day, Long day

Hey Y'all,

C's mom is doing well for all she has been thru. She says she hurts like hell. The pain drugs they are giving her are ones that keep her alert. She is a Little goofy off of them. They have been getting her up a little bit. They don't want to take the chance on her getting pneumonia from laying down too much. That gal has been thru a lot, but she will be just fine.

C's colonoscopy went fine today. She made it thru the process and I had a cold diet coke waiting for her when she came out. She hadn't had anything to drink since midnight the night before. We went to IHOP and she had a big breakfast. I think those pancakes and eggs seemed like the best she ever had after not eating for a day and a half.

We came back to the motel room and I crashed for about 3 hours. After that we went to the auction over in Cleveland. It was a good time but we are both tired and are glad to be back in the motel room and just relaxing. Something we haven't had much time to do with all that's been going on this week. I can't believe it's Friday am at 0230 already. We have a late check out and are going to sleep in this morning.

Surgery went well

Hey Y'all,

C's mom's surgery went well today. She was in there about 5 hours. The veins they harvested from her legs were in really great shape. The open heart surgery went well. She is recovering and will be in the hospital until at least Monday.

C is doing the prep for the colonoscopy. It's not being kind to her and she feels like shit. No pun intended. She is weak and miserable. I am glad we holed up in the motel room. She hasn't felt like talking to anybody. She is either in the bed or the bathroom. I feel sorry for her. She is having a extra rough time.

I ate what I now think was bad bagel and cream cheese for breakfast this morning and tossed my cookies. Sweats and shakes and all that stuff. After I threw it all up I was fine. I ate supper tonight and feel OK. I'm just tired and a little weak.

We have to be in Atlanta tomorrow morning at 9am for C's colonoscopy. We will be getting up early and driving there. I hope C can get some sleep tonight before we go. She stayed up all last night and was at the hospital for her mom at 4am. She has been up since yesterday morning sometime.

Big day tomorrow

Hey Y'all,

My mother in law is going under the knife in the morning. (Wednesday). I am more encouraged after visiting with her this evening. She is getting nervous as expected. I would be too. She is in good spirits. She looks good.

We went to a place called the Atlanta bread company for lunch with J, C's oldest daughter. I had the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had there today. I wish they had one back home.

C has a lot on her plate tomorrow. She is going to be at the hospital at 0400 with her mom before she goes into surgery. She also has to do the prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow. It's going to a rough day for her.

Howdy

Hey Y'all,

We went to the hospital today and C visited her mom. She had to suit up in a gown and gloves because on top of everything, her mother has a staph infection. I don't think she is in that great of shape. C and I are nervous about this surgery Wednesday.We had a wonderful time with J, C's oldest daughter. Later on we went to the auction up in Cleveland and stayed till the end. We went to the huddle house and had supper late and then drove back to the motel. Now here we sit.

C is getting up early in the morning and going with J. She is getting a ultrasound done on the baby. It's kind of a girl thing with the ladies getting together. I am going to stay at the motel and rest.

Sickness at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
We are up in the lower part of north Georgia. C's mom is in the hospital here. We got to see her dad and her oldest daughter J last night at applebees. It was a very nice visit and good to see J and P.

C visited her mother yesterday. I didn't want to go because I was getting over being sick and didn't want to take a chance on passing it along. I have been well for a day or so. We are going to meet up with everybody and visit C's mom today. She will be going in for triple if not quadruple bypass surgery on Wednesday. She is not well.

I am tired. The motel we are staying at uses a Internet service provider "deep blue". There is like 11 modems in the motel. I could not connect to the one assigned to my room. I stayed on the phone with their tech support as well as my computers tech support till 3 am. It was supposed to be working at 7 am this morning. It wasn't. Tech support had me go to lobby and try it. With some finagling it worked. We ended up changing rooms and got one that the Internet works, On the second floor.

On top of that my Verizon service to my Internet on the computer is not working. I have been raising hell with them last night and today and getting blowed off. Until I threatened to cancel my service, filed a complaint and asked to be prorated for the days I am with out service, Presto I got somebody to talk to me! They didn't fix my problem but a least they tried then. It's not over yet. I got a axe to grind with Verizon now.

Been sick at the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I didn't post last night because I was sick. I had been throwing up most of the day and running a fever. This morning I woke up soaked in sweat and hungry as hell. I am feeling better now.

C's mom had a heart attack and will probably be going for bypass surgery this week. Keep her in your prayers.
