Long Day at the Swamp
Cornbread is just to tired so I am posting for him. Of course he will correct all my typing mistakes as we go along and add to what I am saying , but guess that's the typical man LOL.
Today has been a busy day. We had to hunt down the Doctor who was supposed to sign the Death Certificate. He has only had 2 weeks, ( and it was supposed to be done within 72 hours).
The funeral home was trying to help but their hands were also tied. I asked if we could have the Doctor who had seen his Dad at Hospice sign it, needless to say hospice came thru again. Two phone calls and 2 hours later we had the certificates. Now we can start the process of doing the things his Father wanted done. We will have to do the Court thing for the probating of the will, but again that could not be done without that all important piece of paper.
We did get to spend the day together and that was nice. We think so much alike that we will think of the same thing at the same time or will know what the other is thinking ( SCARY ).
We stopped at a Western store for our daughter K's belated birthday gift. She had wanted a pair of Georgia boots. We had tried near her birthday but they were out of stock online and in the stores. We needed a certain color and style. We brought them home and put the box on the couch. I thought the house was going to fall down with the squeals and jumping she was doing when she saw them. It's an understatement to say she was happy. It did our hearts good to see her so excited.
We will sign off for now. We do appreciate all the well wishes since his Dad passed. It's nice to know that folks care
