New bed

Hey Y'all,

C got her new queen size bed today. She is downsizing from our four poster king size bed. There is a king size in the new place we are moving in to. C and I feel a queen size will work better than the king size in there.

There are two things C made me promise to buy if we moved into the house we will be buying. 1: A new bed and 2: A new refrigerator with a ice maker. The refrigerator in there now does not have a ice maker. We have also bought a crib for our grandson when he comes over. That kinda got added to the list but I wanted it too LOL.

We are still working on getting things ready to go up there. I will be leaving in the middle of next week to go up there and do the paperwork so we can move in.

Well Y'all take it easy!

Getting ready to move

Hey Y'all,
We are getting ready to move. Cleaning out stuff and getting things organized.

It's started to sink in that we are actually going to move. We need your prayers over the situation up there in north east Ga. There is a matter of a lost tittle for one half of the double wide and getting that rectified. It going to cause our closing to be a long drawn out process. The people we are buying the home from are allowing us to move in while we/they are getting things worked out. It could take months or a few weeks to get things strait. We will be doing it thru the lawyer of course and our realtors. This certainly has become a adventure. It is stressing at times. I will be glad when it is over and I can settle down and just breath.

Take Care,

Homeless

Hey Y'all,
It's official, we are homeless. I sold my home yesterday. Closed on it about 2pm.

We are still living in it, and will be until the 7th or 8th. The buyer has allowed us some time to get our stuff packed and close on the home in north Ga. So we can get moved up there.

The closing/sale up there is going a little more complicated. It's a long story I will reveal in the weeks to come. We will be able to move in on the 6th-7th-8th when we want to. The seller seems like a good guy. I haven't met him or talked to him yet. I have been dealing with the two real estate agents up there. Both of them are great folks and I am glad God lead us to them. Both of them are really good to us even thou this is not a big "million dollar" home sale for them.

Well Take it easy!

Packing and getting rid of stuff

Hey Y'all,
This morning we woke up late. We got started on the garage that has a lot of stuff in it. We have a lot more to do in there. It simply got too hot for us to work out there. A friend came by and got our futon that needs some work on it and some boxes of stuff we have for them.

We are selling our king size bed to friends of ours that can really use it. We are going to replace it with a queen size bed for C. In the new home there is a king size bed, but C wants a smaller bed to have more room. Her and I don't sleep in the same bed. I can't sleep in beds very well because of back pain and my sleep apnea. I have a very nice la-z-boy oversized recliner that I sleep in. We don't need a large bed for just one person. A queen size will do nicely in the master bed room.

Things are rolling along for us. We still have to close on the house we are living in and of course on the house up there. There is some problems with the house up north to do with the mobile home title. They are working on getting it fixed up there. I will have to make more phone calls Monday to see what is going on. Keep us in your prayers.

Well Y'all take it easy!

Packing

Hey Y'all,

We have been packing. We have been taking a room at a time and packing what we can from that room every day. Tomorrow we start to work on the garage. There is a lot of stuff in there. We have a lot of packing left to do in the house too.

Just keep us in mind that everything comes together. My realtor up in north Ga was aggressive and motivated at first, now he seems to have lost steam. I have to close on the date we set up. If I can't, I'm screwed.

Well Y'all take it easy!

Sicker than dog poo

Hey Y'all,
I have been sick today. My stomach has been running off and my bowels upset. I have been in the bed more than out of it. It's 0330 and I am just now feeling better. I am soaked with sweat from sweating while I was asleep. I am going to lay back down soon. I got too much to do, I can't afford to be sick.

More good news

Hey Y'all,
We just got back from North Ga this evening.

We found a home up there! We will be closing on it soon. Pray everything goes smoothly and we can close on time. Everything is happening fast and we are as busy as a one armed paper hanger.

Our new home is smaller than the one we are in now and we will be downsizing. That means we will have to go thru a lot of our stuff and decide what to keep and what to throw away. We have a lot of stuff. We may sell a lot of it at the auction up there. Till then things will be cluttered.

This is a big change in our lives. It will be good for us and we will grow from the experience. We have a lot of work to do now. Packing our home, and getting ready for closing on three properties. On my dads house that is being sold. My house that is being sold. and the new home that is being bought. I am worn out already and the hard part is just getting started.

Well take it easy!

Good News!!

Hey Y'all!

Thanks to some good detective work by my wife, my title problem is fixed!
C found a number and called it and got in touch with some of the people that use to work for the Mobile home lot I bought my home from. His son was carrying on the business as a Mobile home mover. The same secretary was working for him. C called and when she told her, her name, The secretary said "you're looking for the title to your trailer". She said she had it right there and had been trying to get it to us since 2007. They had a wrong mailing address and had sent it out but it came back.

Everything was there that I needed. She had the original title with the lien was signed off on with a affidavit from the loan company. We took it to the lawyers office and they prepared it and we took it to the county tag office and sent it off. Everything is OK now and we are supposed to close on the 22nd.

We are going up to north Ga at the end of this week to look for a home. We would go earlier but I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday afternoon. We will leave after my appointment.

I am excited and nervous. We have been wanting this for awhile now. Especially since the Grand baby was born last year in Nov.

Well, Y'all take it easy!!

Better frame of mind

Hey Y'all,

We are doing well. Got some steaks and grilled them for supper tonight.
Today has been a take it easy get in a better frame of mind day. The guy who is buying my place called me today and reassured me that he wanted it and that he would do whatever is necessary to see this thru.

Just pray that when I go to the state that every thing goes thru. Long story short, my house was bought from a place now out of business that sold repossessed mobile homes and the titling paperwork was never done. It is still showing that it belongs to the people it was repossessed from and that there is a lien on it. I am having to get a title bond on it and apply for a new title.

On one hand I feel confident everything is going to be OK. On the other hand I am worried things won't work out and this mess won't get resolved. Either way say a prayer for us- We need it.

Hopefully this will all get resolved and we will be moving to north Ga soon and looking back, sipping some tea and laughing about it. Right now thou, it ain't purdy.

Y'all take it easy!

Shot out

Hey Y'all,

We ended up getting a offer on the house. Later on we discovered that we have some problems with my mobile home title. It could jeopardise the sale of my home and land. We are working on getting it worked out. I am not sure when or if I will be moving up to north Ga.

Well listen folks, I am tired and don't feel much like talking about it.

Cleaning up

Hey Y'all,

We have been cleaning today to get things ready for someone to look at the house in the morning. We haven't done a super duper job. We have just got it decent. He will either like it or he won't. We have some more to do in the morning. A good friend of mine that has a lawn care business came and cut my lawn and got the place looking really nice today. My little mower wouldn't handle the lawn in the shape it was in. He has a big professional zero turn radius mower set up to handle yards like mine. My putt putt riding mower just can't cut the thick, deep stuff.

I have been a bundle of nerves today. I called my realtor twice looking for reassurance and to talk to her about this showing. This may very well be the strongest possibility we have had yet. Depending on tomorrow, I may be going back up to North Ga. to see our realtor up there. I got the feeling if this guy puts a offer in on our house and we accept it, Things will begin to happen real fast.

We have been talking to a realtor up there while we took our vacation in Helen Ga. Easter weekend. Hopefully soon we can go to him and say we are ready to find a place and can buy it. We are weary from waiting for a offer to come on our house. We know what we have to get to move up there and we won't settle for less. Like I said, we are weary. We are also hopeful!

Well Y'all take care!

Posted

Hey Y'all,
I haven't posted in awhile. We made it home safe from Helen Ga. On Monday. While we up in Helen we looked at a couple of small doublewides that disappointed us. We are going back up there sometime soon and look at some more houses and land.

We got a contract on my dads house. Someone put a offer in on his house. My brother and me thought it was reasonable so we signed the papers today. Now we just have to make it to closing.

Friday someone is coming to look at my house that is a strong potential buyer. He has the financing to buy the house and is real interested. We will be cleaning it up tomorrow (Thursday) getting it ready for him to get in here and look at it. If our house has a contract on it this week it will be like God moving and opening the door for us to move up there to North Ga.

Our daughter K is having a hard time with us moving if the house sells. She is 18 and has never been away from home. C for her it is hard. This is her last one at home. For me it is hard because I feel like I have to be there for them both. I can only be there for them in a certain capacity. It is time for K to continue with the growing process and become more independent. She is 18 and in college. She has lived at home all her life. We gave her a car and she has a job.

This will be a growing experience for all of us. We need to be up in North Ga with my in laws. The trips back and forth are tiring and expensive. C's parents need help constantly and so does C's oldest daughter and the grand baby. They are all up there. We have friends up there too that we miss a lot. It will be good to go up there and start over. After my dad died, I need a new beginning, away from here. We like the views and the mountains. It gets hot up there in the summer, But it cools off at night. The winters are worse than down here, But I can deal with that.

Well Take Care till next time!

It has been awhile

Hey Y'all,
I have been slack and haven't posted in a long time. I have been depressed and going thru a medication change which hasn't been easy. I just plain ol haven't felt like posting.

Well Y'all got me tonight. Me and C are up in Helen Ga right now for a few days. We have some free hotel time from earning points.

I am wore slap out tired. We got into town between 3pm and 4pm Thursday afternoon. We went to the auction. Now we are in the motel room. C is asleep. I tried to lay down, but I am too sore to get comfortable and can't stand to lay down in the bed right now. My pain pills aren't working that well tonight either.

We called a real estate agent today and met with him. We looked at some listings today. We will probably go look at some houses while we are up here that are in our price range. We still have to sell our house back home. But we are getting our feelers out.

Well Y'all Take Care!!
