Little sleep at the swamp.
Hey Y'all,
We barely made it up this morning with little to no sleep. We went to a run for a children's home that goes on every year. Normally we bring the kids candy, people bring their kids with them and the bikers give the kids rides on the bikes. We were informed when we got there that nobody under the age of 18 could attend and the kids from the home would not be allowed to ride the bikes. I have been going to this run since 05 and it was going on long before I showed up. Needless to say there were a lot of unhappy people when they found out they couldn't ride the kids. A lot of them left the meeting place which was the Harley shop and didn't go to the home. They couldn't stand to see the disappointment in the kids face when they were told they couldn't ride no more.
The chapter of my club donated all our bags of candy and left. We weren't sticking around if it was going to be that way. We learned thru the grapevine that the kids got to sit on the motorcycles and have their picture took by the home. They got the bags of candy too that we all put in to.
I got to see my brother and sister in law at the Harley shop before the run. We have been gone so much lately, it had been awhile since we saw them. It was nice to see them. They are avid bikers that get out every chance they can for runs and things going on.We came home and friends dropped by before supper. We had picked them up some cartons of cigarettes when we went to South Carolina after the run. We gave them the ones we picked up for them. They stayed awhile and visited. It was nice. It had been awhile since we have had them out to the house.
K made it home from Atlanta. When she got back she put in her two weeks notice at McDonald's. She is going to talk to them about transferring her to a store up near Atlanta where she will be living. She already has a place to stay with a friend of hers. Within the next few weeks she should be moving up there.
Well Y'all take it easy!
