Relaxing day at the swamp
Hey Y'all,
We didn't do much of nothing today. Took it easy. I ran to the grocery store here in town and picked up fried chicken for supper and later on I went out to Sam's club this evening. C stayed home. The only thing she did was put some stew beef in the crock pot for beef barley soup tomorrow. We have purposely been bums today. The house is clean and we were/are tired.
So that's it, we are enjoying the weekend and for the most part staying in. We will get out tomorrow to do some things with the motorcycle club. Otherwise we ain't doin' squat.
The auction is going on up there in North Ga. Wish we were up there and could be a part of it. Missing our friends up there too. Hunting season has opened up last weekend. I'm hoping my friends Ch and A up there in north Ga can bag them a deer early on in the season. That way they will have meat to last them thru the winter. I wish C ate deer meat. If she did I would do a little hunting and have meat in the freezer for us. She doesn't like it thou. I prefer it over beef for cube steak, sausage, and ground meat in spaghetti and stuff like that.
K is up in Atlanta and having a blast. She is talking about moving up there. C and I think it would be a good idea and that she would be happier up there. We do have some reserves and concerns, but where she is talking about moving to will be a good environment for her. There is so much more to do up there and she has friends there from previously living there before C and her moved here. She'll be closer to a college she was thinking of going to. There are more opportunities for a better line of work later on than McDonald's, where she works now. I think getting out of the house and getting started towards moving out on her own is a good idea too at her age. She is 18 and needs to start experiencing the world. Even thou we love her it's time to cut the apron strings. I'm not sure how much her mom agrees but that's how I see it. But that's a mom's job, to worry. We are her parents and will always be here, it's just time for her to start moving on. That's dads job, to keep things moving for the best.
Well Y'all take it easy!
