Back to work
Hey Y'all!
Christmas went well. We had several friends over Christmas eve. I never drink much but that night I polished off about a half a fifth of rum. I didn't get stupid drunk, just kind of mellow. We made stockings for everybody. It was great. K got to open one present Christmas eve. 9am Christmas day K came running thou the house hollering "It's Christmas day! everybody wake up!". We opened presents and enjoyed the day. Later on that morning we went to see dad in the nursing home and brought him a stocking. He was direct that he didn't want anything for Christmas. We filled his stocking full of goodies one of which was caramel squares. He was happy to see us and get those. Dad had several other visitors for Christmas too. I think that was more important to him than getting a gift.
I am back to work now. Just got off a little while ago. I am only getting 3 nights this week which hurts the wallet. But oh well, what can ya do? I am broke as hell from Christmas. But it's O.K. It was all worth it. Now C and I are playing catch up. We will be fine. (I hope.lol)
K flew up to Michigan to see her family up there. I miss her terribly already. I don't like her dad for a lot of reasons that I won't get into on here. He is already starting bullshit with C. He's good about being consistent in starting bullshit and I just expect it anymore. She called me this evening about the time I was heading out for work. She was going to her favorite burger joint up there. We did some text messaging and I let her know I miss her a lot and love her. She said the same and she is homesick. So far the trip is going good for her though. 10 days and I'll get my daughter back home. I never knew I would feel this way about a child. I love her like she is my own flesh and blood.
New years is coming and I don't know what my schedule is yet. I am a little concerned since I only got three days this week. One day this week is a day I take off for club church though. I am hoping to get at least 4 days next week if not 5. Keep your fingers crossed.
Y'all take care now ya hear!
