Made it to church today

Hey Y'all,
C and I made it to church today. It was a good service. I haven't been out in so long to be a part of something. At first when I got there I wanted to go sit out in the truck. I made myself stay and actually enjoyed myself. I wish my anxiety was not so high.

I go see my doctor tomorrow at the VA. C is going with me so we can discuss with the doctor some of the problems I have been having. I hate having problems. I just wish I were normal.

Today 2 years ago my dad passed away. I miss him terribly so. He was my best friend for life. Now I have C. I am fortunate to have her.

Take Care!

Not so good day today

Hey Y'all,
Today was not so good. I have been feeling crappy and depressed and confused. I got messed up on taking my medicine since i slept till 5 pm this afternoon. I have been a bundle of nerves. I'm not going to post much tonight. I did get out once to go to wal mart and pick us up some hamburger to make us burgers for supper.

Take care,

Warmer days, but still cool.

Hey Y'all,
I have been having good days and some bad days. Today is sorta so so, so far. I have been sleeping a lot because I have been depressed and have got into the habit of not waking up till 2 pm.

I got up today and rushed out the door. C reminded me that today is the day that the Catholic church does their food drive. I needed to pick up some food for the house. They gave us chicken that was frozen and some frozen peaches. some canned goods and dry goods. Two cakes and a jug of sweet tea. It is enough to supplement us for awhile.

Don't know of much. every day is a crap shoot if it's gonna be a good one or bad one. C says she doesn't like what this new medication is doing to me. I have a appointment with the doctor for Monday. I hope I have enough gas in my truck to make it there to see him.

Y'all take care!

Been locked down in the looney bin

Hey Y'all,
I haven't posted for awhile because I have been in the mental ward at the VA hospital. My doctor was doing a rapid medicine change, taking me off one med completely. I had a rough couple of days and nights there. It's bad when I have a mind and can't use it for anything. I got thru the inability to comprehend sentences and paragraphs by reading a bible I found In psalms. The shakes and all the other physical things going on went away with medication adjustments they did. I was a basket case for about two days though. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I am back and doing OK for now. I still have good and bad days. last night I slept for 17 hours. I was so wore out that I finally crashed and burned. I have been doing nothing but running it seems for the last few days since I got out of the hospital.

Well, Y'all take care!!

Snow and Ice In the foot hills

Hey Y'all,
I can't believe it has been since the first since I posted last!! Time has really been flying by!!

We got snow night before tonight/today. Probably about 6-8 inches or so. It started about 2330. I went into Wal mart to pick up some last minute essentials before the storms hit. When I came out it had started snowing to beat the band and my windshield was covered. It snowed all night into the next morning. The temp yesterday never got above 32 but close to it. There was light rain and when the temp dropped again it has all turned to ice. The Governor has declared a state of emergency because the roadways are so bad especially south of here. My yard is shiny white with a layer of ice on top of 6 to 8 inches of snow. I almost got stuck in my driveway yesterday.

We are all safe and warm. I have had the fireplace going since last evening. There is ice forming on the trees from the light rain we had during the night. If our power goes then I want to be prepared for it. So far, "Knock on wood" (taps on head with knuckles) our power has stayed on.

Well Take it easy! Stay Safe and Warm!

Slap Happy Pappy New Year

Hey Y'all!
Well since we didn't go down to south Ga for new years, we went out to eat with C's parents tonight and had a excellent meal. We got even more blessed when they insisted on paying for it. We were surprised and humbled. Since they got supper, we went to Wal mart and hit the Christmas items 75% off sale. Also bought a cheap dvd player for P the grand son to watch his dvd's he got for Christmas.

We rung in the new year here at home watching Dick Clark's New Years Rocking Eve, and watched the ball drop in NYC on TV. We didn't get drunk or raise hell. You know your getting old when you tell your wife it's time for our shots on new years eve and your talking about the insulin.

I hope Y'all have a happy and prosperous and healthy and safe year!
