Rain today

Today was a lazy day. Both C and I were wore out from the weekend. I got out a little bit to go by the gas station and pick up diet coke, go by the bank, post office and take K to check on her schedule. We went out to the local restaurant for supper and then stopped by a friends house to drop off some jeans. Other than that, K went to school and we have been hanging out at the house all day. Tomorrow we will go see dad. My brother S and my sister in law were by to see him today and bring him his mail.

Swamp things

Hey Y'all I haven't posted in awhile because there has been a lot going on and I just haven't felt like it.

Friday C and I spring cleaned the house. Actually she had been working on it since Thursday. Friday night we had church and C made homemade lasagna. Saturday we went on a run out of town to visit another chapter of the club that was having their run. We got soaked while out riding. Saturday night at work I got in a fight and it took three of us to get the guy down to the ground.

Tonight I had work and am finally home and got to talk to C for awhile tonight on the side of the bed which put my soul at ease. We spent a lot of time together this weekend but I had some bullshit happen at work tonight that has me upset. C is good for me. She is right there for me when I need her.

We did get a lot of riding time in this weekend. I am wore out from riding. I am also sore from the fight Saturday night. I am tired too. That's life.

Lookin for work from the swamp

Hey Y'all
C is spending hours on hours on the computer filling out applications and sending in her resume. So far no bites. It will take awhile for things to come in. I know it's not going to happen overnight. C gets frustrated a little because she wants to go back to work so bad. It is monotonous and hard work doing what she is doing.

C and I took a ride on the bike this evening . We went to the bar and to my brothers house and visited for a little while. Had to get C out of the house before she goes shack wacky. We had a good time. Came back home and picked K up from work and then had a late supper.

My brother is going to give me a push mower that my dad gave him a few years back. It hasn't been cranked in two years. I hope I can get it cranked. My yard is in terrible shape.

Monday in the swamp

Hey Y'all!
C and I went to see my dad today. He was napping in his wheelchair at the nursing home when we got there. We had a good time visiting with him. Made it back home and C started sending out resumes again and checking all the job websites. We had bacon and eggs for supper tonight and C cooked mine in bacon grease. My tummy is all happy. I talked on the phone for about a hour with a friend of ours.

K worked tonite. She is such a good kid. I tried to pay her allowance today and she wouldn't take it. I finally had to force her to take 10 dollars. She says she has a job and knows things are tough so she doesn't want to take a allowance.

We are sitting at home relaxing right now. I am waiting for the virus scan to finish.

Tomorrow We are going to the labor dept. so C can apply for unemployment and check on jobs. I have to put gas in the truck tomorrow. It's 3.53 a gallon for unleaded where I live. I think I am going to take the bike to work tomorrow night.

Thoughts from the swamp

I don't think the reality of how tough it's going to be for us has sunk in yet. I know it has not for K. She is a teenager and just assumes things will be O.K. I am keeping a positive attitude and so is C. C is still emotionally going thru the aftermath of losing a job. She is still a cheerful person thou. I love to be around her and I look forward to spending more time with her until she does find work. I can't get enough of her. She will probably get tired of me before I get tired of her LOL. C has already sent out a lot of resumes online. She is busting her butt to find something.

I take the attitude that everything happens for a reason. What the reason is right now, I don't know. I know I am a little scared. I have been thru tough times in the past and somehow made it out OK. That gives me some confidence. I have to do my part to keep C and I encouraged and not get discouraged going thru this. I think going thru this will make C, K, and I stronger as a family. I hope we don't get at each others throat when the stressful times hit. We just have to go thru this and make it out OK. Maby K has the right attitude. Don't worry, everything will be OK.

C and I took a ride with our friends from the club today. It was a nice time just to get out and ride. C is burnt to a crisp. She is very fair skinned. The sunburn is very pain full for her. We don't have anything here at the house for her to put on it so she is suffering. I don't know what is the best thing for it. We will have to figure out something soon. I can't have her in pain. If anyone has any suggestions put it in the comments.

Bad news in the swamp

Hey,
C lost her job today. I could go into all the reasons why I think she lost it. But it won't do any good. She is understandably very upset. It breaks my heart to see her this way. I have been fired from jobs before and let me tell you it ain't no fun. Things will be tough for us until she finds another. She is the bread winner in the family. God knows she works her ass off. I know how dedicated she was to her job and how much effort she put into doing a good job. Sometimes even when you go beyond the call of duty it isn't good enough. I consider it a slap in the face knowing what she did for this company and all the things she fixed for them. But it doesn't matter now. What matters is that we move on and get over this bump in the road. I am here to support her and us 100%. What little money I have, what love I can give, being there for her and anything else she needs that I can give her. Pray for her, she is going thru a tough time with all this. It hurt her to the core losing this job.

Another night in the swamp

Just put the dog in his room. He was chewing on my chair and shitting the floor. I am up drying clothes. The dryer had about 5 minutes to go but I shut it off and put him in there. We don't keep him in there when we are drying clothes. The exhaust pipe has holes it and it gets really hot in there. I kept the door open while drying clothes so I could put him in there as soon as possible.

Tonite at the bar was steady. We had pool league in there tonite. I actually drank a beer. It was good. Kind of a nice treat. C came by and visited me before she had to pick up K from work. It always makes my night when she is around.

I am waiting on a scan to get thru on the computer and then I think I am going to relax some and go to bed.

Howdy from the swamp

Hope Y'all are doin' well

I slept most of the day today. Got up about the time K got off the bus from school. Took her to pick up her check and cash it. That kid has more pocket money than I do right now. Took her to work. Came back home and took a shower. About the time I got out of the shower C came home from work. We went to petsmart and picked up puppy food and pee pee pads. Came back home and C fixed supper. Got thru eating and went and picked up K from work. Sat around watching the tube for awhile, now C just went to bed a minute ago. I am up running virus scans on the computer. They take awhile.

Well that's what my day has been like. Just a regular ol day off on Wednesday.

The dog is Running around and howling his head off and driving me up a f**ing wall!!!!!! Chewing on sh*t and snapping at my hand. I put him in his room which happens to be the laundry room and he is still howling his head off at 2:30 in the morning. Bastard!!!

Cool night in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I am up drying clothes after work tonite. Came home made me some sauerkraut and sausage. Now I am relaxing with the computer and the dog. Harley seems to be having a good time playing with his toys.

I didn't get to sleep till 9am this morning. I just stayed up all night. I got some sleep, picked up K from school and we went grocery shopping. C came home a little early from work because she was feeling really bad. I went to work and left them with it.

K got her first income tax return check. We took it to the bank and cashed it. She was excited. New experience for her. She already bought a shirt and Capri pants and a magazine at the store while we were shopping.

Ebay in the swamp

Hey Y'all,

Went and saw dad today. He is doing good. Did some running around town for him.

I picked up K from a friends house. Me and her and C met up for supper at the waffle house. Family night on my day off.

Came home and relaxed and C put K's hair up in rollers. Later on we got on the computer and I showed C how to use EBay. She's learning. She found out about misleading auctions, Being outbid. Winning a couple of auctions and the never ending search thru auctions. We had fun and she stayed up till almost 2 am. We spent a little money (not too much) and she made me pinkie promise I wouldn't spend anymore tonite. She keeps me in line. EBay is addicting for me. It's worse than gambling sometimes. I shure do love that gal. I know how to buy on EBay but have never sold anything on there. That's something I have always wanted to learn but I have been a little intimidated by it.

Just got in from work a little while ago. It was a 10 hour day for me at work. C did the wedding. She is completely and utterly exhausted. She said it went good except for the wind blowing. She did come by the bar and see me tonite on the way home.

Swamp'n it into the wee hours of the morning

Hey Y'all,
I got home from work about 3 am. C just got to bed at 4 am. She is helping with a wedding that one of the brothers from the clubs daughter is having. She is doing everything from cooking food to doing hair to making center pieces for the tables. She is wore slap out already and will get about three hours of sleep before she has to get up today. She really is a exceptional person and has a heart to give and help out her friends even when it's rough on her like tonite. I am a fortunate man to have a girl like her.

Tonite at the bar was graveyard dead.

Well folks tonite is a short one. I'm tired. I have to be at the bar at 2pm tomorrow to work the door for a abate meeting. I will miss the wedding. I am up drying clothes for C so she will have something to wear. They should be done soon.

Midnight air on the swamp

Well actually it's 2:30 in the morning. I was off work tonite. We had our first official meeting as a new chapter of my club. It went nice. We had it at the back room of Ryan's. We stuffed ourselves, left and went to a bar that we decided not to go into.

Me and C took off and went to our old chapters clubhouse to see some of our friends there. It was a good time. I did a shot of stupid juice. It was deee-licious. We left there and went by the bar I work at. It was dead tonite. I did get to spend some time talking to my boss which is rare because when I am at work we both are usually busy. I enjoyed that.

C and I made it home and had our nightly chat on the bedside before she went to sleep. She truly is my soul mate.

K is sick with a cold right now but she made it to work tonight.

Modern technology in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
I went to see dad today. I was a day early. He dropped his cell phone and it quit working. I took it to alltel. The battery had popped out under the cover. I felt kinda dorky when the guy at alltel took the battery out and put it back in and said "see it's working". But I didn't care. Dads cell phone is back working and he has communication with the outside world. That's what is important to me.

I had got out early so I came home and took a 2 hour nap before K got home from school. I took K to work at 5. Came back home and took the bike to work. It was nice ride there.

Tonite at the bar was steady but nothing to write home about. The boss was gone to another bar to shoot pool with the league. We had some players shooting league at our bar. I had one old drunk that is about half crazy sit up front and keep me company. Cheap entertainment. We cleaned up and got out of there a little early for a Thursday. I had a nice ride home on the bike.

Friday I have the night off because of club church. I have a day of relaxation planned. It will be fun to have our first official church and to get out and ride with C on the back.

Swamp express

Hey folks,
Took Harley to the vet today. He got his shots. Brought him back home. Waited for K to get home from school. We ate buttered noodles with cheese and then I took her to work.

Picked up C at her work and we headed out of state to have supper with some friends. It was a good time. I dropped off the wood to my friend who is going to fix it up for the base of my urn.
C and I headed back, picked up her car at her work and made it home. I picked up K from work. Had a ice cream cone while I was waiting. She drove back in the dark. She is still inexperienced at driving at night. She didn't do bad thou. I am going to let her start driving more at night.

I love C and K. I couldn't imagine my life without them.

Swampity swamp swamp swamp

Hey Y'all!
I'm up late as usaull. We had a lot of people in the pool tournament tonite. The bar wasn't real busy. It was steady.

K burnt her hand in science class today. She was putting equipment away and picked up a ring stand they were using she thought had cooled. It hadn't. She has some nice blisters on her index finger and right thumb. She's been keeping ice on it.

I have to take Harley to the vet tomorrow (wed). It's just his normal check up and last set of shots. I hate it when he gets shots cause he hollers. It hurts and scares him.

We are going to meet some friends for supper tomorrow night after I take K to work.

Saw dad today briefly. He was sleeping so I didn't want to hang out too long. I think he is tired from being sick. He called me on the phone twice tonite. He shure keeps talking about getting out of the nursing home.

Swamp buzz

Hey Y'all,
The last few days have been interesting. The nursing home sent dad to the hospital to get checked out. He had upset bowels and abdominal pain and weakness. They checked him out and said he had a virus. He made it home at 5am. I called him today and he was tired and sleepy. I'll go see him tomorrow.

K got her job back at dairy queen. She started today. She wants a new phone and needs money. We told her it's fine if she goes back to work, but if he grades slip she's done. She will still be working around the house for a allowance.

Since I got my back tire changed on my bike I plan to ride it a lot more. I think I'll take it into work Tuesday.

Not much else happening. Me and C went shopping for C some shirts for work and then had supper at the waffle house. Came back and picked up K from work.

I forgot to mention some things so I came back and edited this post and I'm going to put them in. Today I paid off the IRS, the phone company and dads lawn care people. While I was out I was going to pay my ad valorom tax bill on the trailer at the county commissioners office. I went in there to write out the check. The lady looked my stuff up and said I don't owe till the end of the year. It seems since I used the homestead exemption my property tax and ad valorom tax will be combined at the end of the year. It will be a whopper. I owe at least 404 bucks ad valorom and I don't know what the property tax will be. I know a lot of people who read this will think, I'm getting off cheap. But believe me when we're living paycheck to paycheck bills like that can be hard. They can't be avoided if we want to keep our place to live. I know, welcome to the real world. I guess the saying is true: " two things ya can't avoid is death and taxes".

Rainy Swamp

Hey Y'all,
Our club was having a big poker run today but it got cancelled because of the rain. I rode out there with our chapter to the clubhouse, but when I found out it was canceled I came home and got some much needed sleep. C rode with one of the other ladies in their car. She stayed till about 2:30 in the afternoon.

Tonight at the bar wasn't too bad. First part of the night we had a drunk chick I had to throw out several times. Pissed me off. But other than that the night was good.

K went to a military ball with her boyfriend who is in ROTC. She looked stunning in her dress. Her boyfriend J was very handsome in his uniform. They had a friend who went with them who is in ROTC too.

C took them and while she was waiting to pick them up, she came by the bar. It was nice to see her. She always makes things better. C is my companion and best friend. I love her.

Hey Y'all,
We had a pretty good night tonight at the bar. We had pool league in there tonight. It's different than the in house pool tournament. Teams from different restaurants and bars show up and compete. The bar made pretty good money and the crowd was not causing any problems.
There were some good looking women in there shakin' their booty on the dance floor. Our resident part time employees had their tongues hangin out. I was watching too with a gleam in my eye. I know the rules. I can look all I want, but I always come home alone or with C. No touchey-feeley. Watch who I kiss and how. No kissey-face. All I did was look. I figure I must be gay if I didn't.

Saw dad today. Got his taxes filed and saw the accountant for him today. He is doing well. They are moving him to another room tomorrow. He has a shared bathroom. The guy he shares the bathroom with is nasty and leaves a mess. Dad has been complaining about it for awhile now. I guess they are moving dad to solve the problem. I never liked the guy in the other room. He is black and seems prejudice. When I say hello to him he doesn't acknowledge me and just glares. It's like I can read his mind. After many attempts to be respectful and nice to the old bastard, I have finally got to the point I ignore him. I am glad dad is moving away from him. Maby the next time I go in there to see dad I'll give the old black guy a dirty look like he gives me to let him see how it feels. Nah, then again maby not. I don't want to stoop to his level. Welcome to the new south where blacks can be more prejudice than whites and it's accepted and encouraged.

Tomorrow (Friday) I am going to get my rear tire changed on my bike. The one that is on there now is totally slick. I don't like riding on it. It's going to cost me some money that I can't afford to spend right now, but it has to be done if I am going to ride any at all.

Got some rest today

Hey Y'all,

Just put C to bed. We had a nice night. Had a good bite to eat and hung out this evening. I got to sleep almost all day today!! I didn't wake up till 2:30 in the afternoon. It was great!! Of course when I got up and was brushing my teeth the trash truck came by. I had to spit out my toothpaste and run outside to push the can to the side of our road so it could get dumped. Hell of a way to start the day but I enjoyed lounging in my pajamas.

This has been a nice lazy day off. I only had to leave the house twice. And it was doing things I wanted to do not had to do. Life is good.

Booger woods, down in the swamp

Hey Y'all,
Tonight at the bar was a good night! The bar made money. The bartender made good money and we had no fights. Got cleaned up and got outta there on time. My kind of night!

I went to the V.A. today and saw the doctor. It was a hard drive there and back. I was so sleepy. I kept falling asleep at the wheel and running off the road. At one point I dozed off and my foot slipped of the gas. I woke up doing 15 miles slower than I was before. I hated driving like that but I had no choice. I was on the road and away from home. I came home and crashed for about a hour before I had to go to work.

Now I am home with a day off tomorrow. I look forwards to it.
